Who would have thought Frankel would be siring St Leger winners.
Frankel – Enable = rather a lot of Sadlers Wells and Northern Dancer.
My post was not intended to be seriously read.
He would probably be a better racehorse if he was gelded.
Call The Wind. Another gelded Frankel to excel. Remarkable progress to win that having been beaten at lowly Machecoul just over 6 months ago.
What odds he does not race again ?
Is it just the ground with Cracksman or is there something else ?
With a fair bit of help from George Scott in the case of Noble Mission
I was thinking Epsom and Reg Akehurst but cannot find a horse that fits.
Racing when the going is hard (whether flat or jumps) is just wrong.
Yes indeed. Chief Singer winning it and Royal Palace finishing down the field after showing some promise.
Noel Murless often started his best two year olds in what we now call group races. How times have changed !
Over to you
An appalling Royal Ascot for SBS with just a couple of 6th placed.
O.K. An easy one to get off strike.
What links 1967 Derby winner Royal Palace and Chief Singer ?
Sun Castle died of a tetanus infection while still in training and I recall Old Tom dying soon after his Lincoln win. I know next to nothing about Shamrock Star so I will have a guess they all died young from an infection.
A very weak renewal and the form to be treated with caution.
Did they all make their debut at the same track ?
Great stuff indeed.

Would like to see Without Parole follow the Frankel path and clean up in the mile division before stepping up to 10 furlongs next year. Why not follow exactly in Dad’s footsteps from here and retire unbeaten ?
Good to see the school bad lad back to winning ways. I am sure there is a Group 1 in him if on best behaviour. Shame they had to remove his plums to get the best out of him.
