Thing is a few horses have achieved greatness in recent times in their own way.
Winx with her consecutive wins.
Frankel being unbeaten.
Sea The Stars winning the treble from a mile to a mile and half.
Enable could achieve greatness next season by winning 3 Arcs. All greatness.
November 19, 2018 at 23:20 #1381104A dual Arc winner and the only Arc winner to go on and win the BC Turf means that she has already achieved a level of greatness – will be interesting to see how they campaign her, will we see her before mid summer/early Autumn and/or will they drop her back in trip for races like POW, Eclipse or Juddmonte?
November 19, 2018 at 23:39 #1381107Enable still has the chance to become greater than Frankel. But she does not show the same brilliance in my opinion. She’s an absolute superstar, but even if she wins three Arcs, I can’t see her ever reaching Frankel status myself, but who knows? Winx is not in the same league, full stop.
There’s very obviously going to be a Frankel/Enable baby at some point in the future you’d imagine.
Dear lord, can you imagine that beast if it picks up the genes…
November 20, 2018 at 00:44 #1381113Not always a guarantee, I always thought any offspring of Frankel/Midday (16 G1 wins between them) would have had a pretty good chance of being a little bit special but so far a G3 & Listed race wins are the best that they have managed.
November 20, 2018 at 11:57 #1381126I very much doubt she will go to Frankel, more likely Dubawi or Kingman.
All comers, all ground, all beaten
