Cracksman, Poet’s Word, Masar, Saxon Warrior. All of whom could be sent of as favourite. It just seems a bit of an overreaction to me. Maybe it’s because he seems 100% to turn up and the opposition has yet to be nailed down.
There is a case to be argued that Defoe probably would have won today if connections had of gone for it. I assume the lively surface was too much of a worry for them?
Too right, Charles. Right decision not to run. Although Defoe has run well enough on good-firm, today’s surface would be taking a big chance of injury. Has a very rounded action and at best with give underfoot.
