I find this a really interesting subject area / thread.
Please keep updating us Hellcatmudwrestler , if that isn’t too time consuming.

Not surprised that you are furious mate.
Never put in the race until the very end , responded instantly , and it seemed that he ended up with loads left in the tank.
Everyone can suffer bad luck in running , but some serious questions need to be asked regarding that performance.
On another note , I hope that the horse that seemed to break down is okay.

Let’s be honest , the world of social media contains a disproportionate number of keyboard warriors , conspiracy theorists , and “nutcases”.
I agree largely with Ian’s opening post , in that Henderson receives an unfair metaphorical bashing , from people who have never demonstrated any particular expertise in the training of racehorses.
The latest round of Henderson bashing , about the handling of Constitution Hill , reminds me of some of the flak that the late , great , Henry Cecil received over his handling of Frankel.
Constitution Hill is owned by his owner , whose interests are handled by the connections i.e. Henderson et al. He is not owned by us , nor by the great unwashed in the world of social
media , and therefore such opinions are irrelevant.
There is unfortunately an increasing tendency in this country to deride and try and bring down anyone who is perceived to be a “great”. People should try and appreciate “greatness” , and like it or not , Henderson is a great trainer.

I agree totally Ian re horses taking a hold , and her tiny size , and inability to restrain / settle them.
Prone to missing the break sometimes also.
Decent jockey , just massively over hyped.

Alongside other highlighted overrated jockeys , I would also normally add Hollie Doyle.
I simply don’t understand , a previous poster’s views ,that she is riding amongst the best in the U.K.
In my view that is simply box ticking , P.C..
Other than the odd clump of winners at gaff tracks , she is an average jockey.
That said , her ride today on Trueshan , was great.
I know that others feel that she was carted into that position , however , I believe that it was a decisive jockey – led decision.
    She deserves every credit.

My own personal view on Night Nurse ( who I actually adored , and got to lead him out on a stable walk , thanks to the Easterby family’s kindness) , was that he was a bit of a character (in a good way).
He seemed to respond to Paddy Broderick , who could hardly be regarded as a textbook stylist. Jonjo himself , unless memory fails , admitted that he thought that the horse responded okay for him , but better for others.
Not sure if this was why Easterby used others on him , alongside Brown , such as Watkinson , Tinkler. I don’t think that it could have been Jonjo’s allegiance to Sea Pigeon.
Perhaps Jonjo was unavailable / injured ?.

Interesting point that you raise Ian , re Jonjo’s chequered history with Sea Pigeon.
Unless my memory misleads me (always possible as time has passed , and many drinks have been consumed over the years !) Jonjo also had a less than stellar relationship with that other Easterby superstar , Night Nurse. If I remember correctly , after Paddy Broderick retired , the old boy ran better for Alan Brown , than for Jonjo.

Thankfully this nonsense is about to come to an end.
Hopefully the powers that be will realise their folly and put a stop to it once and for all.
If that were the case , then the only thing that would be missed would be the enhanced prizemoney on offer.
I see nothing wrong in an upbeat , positive presentation style , but this staged “happy clapper” drivel needs to be binned. A bit of objectivity please , moving forwards.

Money does not necessarily come along with classy behaviour.
If this dismissal issue is accurate , then it reflects truly classless behaviour. Then again criticising one of your most important “employees” in public hardly screams exemplary behaviour either.
Their business model in racing seems shortsighted in my opinion , and I think that it may also be short lived.
Good luck to Stott for the future.

    Apologies.
I did indeed mean the 17.35 race.

    A thought for Frankie.
Rather than going out ( or God forbid , having second thoughts , and putting us through this nonsense once again ) why not consider this ?.
Consider seeking less attention for yourself and demanding appearance money , and would it not leave you with a greater legacy if you collected all such monies and gave it back to the grassroots of the sport that made you ?.
Give it all to the Injured Jockeys fund , racing welfare charities, and horse welfare issues !.
Any chance that any of the sycophants that make up the racing media ask these questions ?.
We all know the answer !

Cork All Star previously pointed out (quite correctly , in my view) the Sky Sports Racing presenters desperation in repeatedly emphasising how brilliant everything in the Racing League is.

However , tonight they plumbed even new depths of desperation when they highlighted Laura Pearson as one of the star jockeys on show. I have nothing against Pearson personally , and she seems a competent jockey to me. However , I think that even her own parents would think that it was stretching credibility to claim that their daughter was a star jockey.

As others have accurately posted, Rossa Ryan is riding extremely well , and with supreme confidence.
It does help though , that he is associated with a trainer who is is enjoying a
prolific , purple patch , in Ralph Beckett.
Good luck to both of them.

Personally , I can’t wait for the end of this “farewell tour” nonsense , which is made worse by the insufferable , fawning media coverage. I’m not sure what is worse , this , or the Racing League.

I never watch this irelevant nonsense . However , I am now unfortunately going to have to suffer even more of this being forced down my (viewing) neck.
Not only do the ladies / girls / persons whose gender is not relevant ( please take your pick dependant upon your , preference ) as I am not politically correct enough to traverse this ever changing landscape, but the media darling , that is Hollie Doyle , seems to have won a gong of some sort.
This will translate into even more nonsense being spouted by media outlets , and most notably Sky Sports Racing.
My granddaughter even asked me last week , why they keep referring to her as “Our Hollie” during their presentation ( If I remember correctly is was a day or two before the Prix Maurice du Gheest ?).
It does beg the question , as to how this is objective racing journalism ?.
