Vertem Asset Management, the sponsor of the Group 1 Futurity Trophy at Doncaster and the Eider Chase at Newcastle, has been ordered to immediately cease all regulated activities by the Financial Conduct Authority.
April 7, 2023 at 08:31 #1642589“Northumbria Police arrested a 48-year-old man”.
I wonder who that was?
April 7, 2023 at 08:38 #1642590The TRF massive have thus far exhibited far more restraint in the gratuitous speculation department than their counterparts on Twitter.
I’ve been impressed.
No doubt full details will emerge in due course.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"April 7, 2023 at 10:41 #1642594James Horton will unfortunately come away stigmatized by this purely because of association. Mind you, thought it was no more than just a fairly promising start considering how much was splashed out at the sales. And looking at this season’s juveniles they have a one million Dubawi, but even more eye opening is they went to 600,000 Euro for the top priced Magna Grecia that came from 22,500 Euro covering. They also went to 230,000 for a Bated Breath filly. The latter two must have been outstanding lookers and walkers to reach these amounts but I guess the owner was also easily encouraged by the agent(s).

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"April 11, 2023 at 18:06 #1642945John Dance has been removed as the joint-owner of Bravemansgame for Thursday’s Alder Hey Aintree Bowl Chase at Aintree after his company, WealthTek LLP, was placed in special administration by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) last week.
April 11, 2023 at 18:08 #1642948Does this ease or toughen the task facing Bravemansgame or do punters not need to actually care whose colours the horse runs in as it makes no difference to his chances whatsoever?

April 12, 2023 at 20:42 #1643095Bravemansgame now not permitted to run by BHA following Financial Conduct Authority intervention.
April 12, 2023 at 21:32 #1643100Wow!!
I don’t have anything else to add.
April 13, 2023 at 20:58 #1643380April 13, 2023 at 21:02 #1643383I had just read the latest story on RP and thought: “I wonder how long it will take Archipenko at TRF to post a link?”
I didn’t have to wait long to find out!
The big A is just LOVING this story!
It is quite bizarre, I must admit!

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"April 13, 2023 at 21:58 #1643394I am not going to speculate here but there are things being said on a Betfair forum 😂😂.
To be fair if the BHA were blocked from letting BMG run due to a court order, that’s serious.
April 13, 2023 at 22:04 #1643397I would imagine Bravemansgame can’t run in case he gets injured / his value is otherwise diminished in some way.
April 30, 2023 at 07:49 #1646156Bit late with this one.
A sale of John Dance’s half share in Bravemansgame was approved by the FCA ahead of the horse’s run at Punchestown.
Now in the sole ownership of Bryan Drew.
Interesting to note that James Horton has two horses, listed as being owned by John and Jess Dance, entered in May.
SAM MAXIMUS: Duke of York Clipper Stakes
PHANTOM FLIGHT: Tattersalls Gold CupAs they are entered in grade 2 / 1 events respectively, I am wondering if these entries were made before Vertem failed.
