Have a look at the 15.35 at Newton Abbot tomorrow.
I mean no offence ‘ to any of the owners , or participants.
But have we ever seen a worse race , of it’s type ?.

If you mean the 17.35 then no , id back Chezza to finish 2nd in that ….. Walking around eating a packet of biscuits …. One of them managed to unseat in a bumper…

Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026

The RP early odds assesment has the unraced runner odds on . His full sister ran 6 times , closest to winner 26 lengths , earnt nothing and shortest odds in the 6 races 100 to 1.
I like Newton Abbot but surely with that card it should be free entry .
Was there many years ago , selling winner think it was called Dreamcoat went for about 10k, decent for August selling hurdle at NA ,Dreamcoat would lap these .

“One of them managed to unseat in a bumper…”

Completing a hat trick, having unseated in the parade ring and on the way to the start…and she was far from the only one displaying erratic behaviour. Commementators’ remarks as they watching the wacky races to the start were , “You’re beginning to see what some of these didn’t cost very much” and the exchange,
“Heavens alone knows what’s going to happen when the orange tape flies up” “Oh, don’t”.

I’ll be tuning in to see the latest Jukebox Annie vs Ciaran Gethings match, it’s 3-0 to the filly so far although he couldn’t have done much more and took it in good part. She’s not a very big specimen so I won’t burden her with the weight of my money, but I’ll be cheering her on if she wins.

Thanks for drawing attention to this contest.

Who’s Sorry Now and her two siblings have finished last on all completed starts. First run since November. Perhaps Bill Turner has been looking for the right race. The one for me.

Emmet Mullins sends one for the 4.25.

    Apologies.
I did indeed mean the 17.35 race.

Excitement building for this race which should be in the big races thread. More wacky races at start but not involving Jukebox Annie, so I’m lumping my 50p on her.

    GET IN!!!!

That Who’s Sorry Now is an absolute mule.
Well done Ciaran Gethings for keeping his filly tucked in quietly, a good ride. Pity Johnnie River was w/d, I waited till after he was taken out to bet so no R4 but she would have walloped him too, he was as fat as a fool.
    Hope Lucy Gardner OK.

Well done greenasgrass, great stuff :-)

I find oddities such as this race fascinating, and enjoyed it very much! Thanks for highlighting it Coggy.
