Never had a penny on, but I am so happy. Didn’t want to jinx her though.
R.I.P. GeorgeLets just support cormack guys.
This is a really useful forum and well run. I am sure there are reasons.
So lets just enjoy our interchange of views, and let it continueWhat do I know about value, lol. Bet365 are now offering 66/1.
Fallon was as low as 9/4 at one stage when the market opened.
As the season is only around half way through, can anyone explain the massive driftHi All
Cannot agree , with respect, that he is not as strong as Fallon, We only have to look at the ratios of winners to second places. Hanagan is about 30% better. Bare statistics can be misleading, but not by that margin, especially, as generally, Fallon is on a better quality of animal.
Having said that he still has a lot to prove, especially in Group races etc, when margins for error are reducedHi Guys
Initial thoughts were that cannot be correct, but having thought about it Ivanjica could well be correct.
If memory serves me right the vast majority of the Princes horses were with Guy Harwood in the 80s, and also with Jeremy Tree prior to that. I think Known Fact may have been a 2000 guineas winner of his.
Anyway nice to see him being rewarded for sticking with Henry, who, in my eyes, ranks right at the top of the all time great trainers such as Vincent O’ Brien ( and Aidan too)I agree Perpetual that Mr Abdulla does seem a loyal owner and deserves to reap his rewards. Nice to see him having a great season.
He seems to remember his old allies – nice to see him sending some young horses to be trained by Pat Eddery alsoHi Kez
The only one I know about mate is Stacelita.
Returned with a win in a Group 3 at Longchamp on the 14th of June.
Has an entry in the International at YorkAn absolutely disgusting exhibition in my opinion. That sort of spectacle brings the whole industry into disrepute if not tackled
I agree, nice to see a happy ending and hats off to them both
Well done cormack15 – sorted !
Sorry this talk upsets you eddie.
I was unaware of the RUK talk.
It was just intriguing me
Darley managed to beat imo the greatest jockey Pat Eddery. Just wondered if it could happen again.
Northern jockeys of the past have been excellent also e.g. Eddie HideI agree with the previous comment about him being a difficult ride, but after some of the races he’s been in who could blame the old boy for being a bit quirky. Fallon recently seems to have lost his position in the pecking order on Mr Channons horses
Fallon has a ride for him again at the Curragh on Sunday so perhaps all is forgiven, or possibly the owners choice
Another example of this tomorrow at Doncaster. In the 4.00 Mr Channon has 2 of the 4 runners, namely Falkland Flyer and Saucy Buck (who Fallon won on earlier in the season). Despite Fallon being at the meeting Hitchcott rides the former and Winston the latter, while Fallon has no mount
Hi Raymo61
Ascot has always struck me as a difficult track to ride even though it is fairly level. I think that the relatively short straight causes inevitable bunching and increases the likelihood of bad luck stories / bad rides occurring.
I also think that the qjuickish ground means that horses are travelling marginally faster and this compounds the problemAgreed conundrum, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Handicapper had finally given him a chance off a mark of 67. Has been as high as 77. Take the apprentices claim as well and I suppose he was well in. Shame I didn’t see it before the event either mate !!
