Hi All
Does anyone know what has gone on between trainer and jockey.
Fallon seemed to have the pick of the yards mounts until recently, including stable stars like Youmzain and Music Show.
Since he won on Extra Power on the 11th, Mr Channon has had lots of runners which Fallon hasn’t ridden, and has lots more engaged to run that seem to be shared between Munro, Hitchcott and CatlinJune 22, 2010 at 14:57 #302653Hi All

June 22, 2010 at 15:16 #302657He wasn’t Channon’s main jockey Matthew, he was just riding a lot of his horses earlier in the season and now he’s riding none of them

A possible fall-out perhaps from when Fallon chose the Cumani horse over Music Show in the Guineas.
June 22, 2010 at 17:14 #302672Almost every jockey in the weighing room has fallen out with Channon at some point in their career. It’s pretty much a requirement of holding a senior licence.
Channon evens imports Australians and then falls out with them as well.

I’m guessing it must be pretty easy to fall out with an Australian

(tongue in cheek, tongue in cheek)

Not nearly as easy as it is to have a falling out with the England team manager ( absolutely no tongue in cheek ).
June 24, 2010 at 13:37 #302929Another example of this tomorrow at Doncaster. In the 4.00 Mr Channon has 2 of the 4 runners, namely Falkland Flyer and Saucy Buck (who Fallon won on earlier in the season). Despite Fallon being at the meeting Hitchcott rides the former and Winston the latter, while Fallon has no mount
June 24, 2010 at 14:24 #302933Channon has quite a few runners at Leicester tonight,
Fallon is there but not riding any of them.June 24, 2010 at 18:02 #302966APRACING calls it right, Channon seems to ditch many a jockey. I shouldn’t think Fallon will lose any sleep over it though. Channon has yet to prove (to me anyway) that he’s in the Premier League of trainers. He’s had plenty of time, horses and owners but somehow doesn’t quite reach the top rung. Pity really, as an ex England footballer and someone who has changed careers so radically, it would be great if he could churn out the GP1s like a Cecil, a Stoute or an O’Brien.
Any other flat trainers that people think ditch jocks too rapidly?June 25, 2010 at 07:29 #303035deleted

June 25, 2010 at 18:02 #303108Fallon has a ride for him again at the Curragh on Sunday so perhaps all is forgiven, or possibly the owners choice
