Plenty also haven’t ran in both over the years hence why you shouldn’t make an assumption he will run here.

National Stakes hack up first then assess the situation. #teampointandshoot

The champ is racing in the National Stakes at the Curragh anyway. I wouldn’t assume he will run here.

Point Lonsdale will go down as one of the greatest horses of all time. Only a fool takes him on.

You could throw in a pot noodle plug if you like. We don’t want Findus getting all the business.

Thanks Richard for that fascinating and exciting explanation. Will you be returning tomorrow to share your higher wisdom and maybe reveal that water is wet?

The thread appears to have been hijacked by Tony Blair fans, fascists and snowflakes.

Could I politefully ask you to refrain from using highly offensive terms such as ‘mad as a balloon’. You know what Bachelors is like, I fear he may be experiencing palpitations following your latest outburst.

You clearly are a snowflake yes.

Nobody spends £10,000 a year and funds the horse to turn up at the racetrack for the benefit of entertaining others.
People who do this are doing it for there own ego or for there love of horses and racing. No owner ever said ‘I don’t like horses, I don’t like racing, I have no ego’ but I’m going to spend 10k plus because I feel such a strong need to entertain strangers.

    This is beneath absolute poppycock.

You do realise that a horse is unable to use the internet and even if the horse in question were to have exceptional internet skills then horses still can’t understand English. So in the unlikely event of Yankee Stadium ending up on The Racing Forum he will be none the wiser so try not to worry too much.

Fantastic stuff. You will be able to discuss all of these qualms that you both have and don’t have on The Snowflake Express.

I think you need to sit down before I reveal the name I called Denman when he beat Kauto Star in the Gold Cup.

If you didn’t question the use of words like

    ‘Superstar’
    ‘Legendary’
    ‘All time Great’
    ‘Magnificent’

When describing horses such as Frankel then you have no grounds to complain about people using such words as ‘useless and abysmal’ to describe Yankee Stadium.

I have booked you a first class ticket on The Snowflake Express where you can share your pain with other like minded folk.

Imagine purchasing a Galileo and ending up with Yankee Stadium. He will probably be odds on next time and get beat again. This horse is so bad he would take the wrong course in a walkover and get disqualified.

Raise taxes on booze and you will just see the black market flooded with dangerous cheap alcohol products.
Same as smoking, every town and city now has that dodgy shop that sells counterfeit tobacco (that has god knows what in it) under the counter. They regularly get busted but instantly carry on selling.

Raising taxes on products to protect health is flawed as the black market replacements will be far more dangerous for health but people will still buy them as they are cheap.

Brighton is my least favourite course from a punter point of view. I never seem to be able to read the races on that track and tend to avoid having a bet at the track.
Maybe I will visit it some day though as I imagine it’s a good day out In a lovely location but I would definitely keep bets to a minimum.

Team tactics should be acceptable for the one off Shergar cup. It would make it better to see the teams coming up with spoiler tactics for their rivals and purposefully blocking them in and so on. The jockeys need to take it more seriously next year.

The beauty of The Shergar cup as a punter is you study the card in a different way and it presents a great conundrum as to which team will come out on top over the six races. It’s a real challenge and a different mindset to the challenge of finding a winner of an individual race.

I can’t understand how anybody could not enjoy the day. The card itself is decent also. There may not be any pattern races but 6 x class 2 handicaps on a card is not a bad card at all.
