The abysmal son of Galileo Yankee Stadium runs for the 14th time in his career today in a class 6 Ripon seller in a desperate bid to lose his maiden status.

On paper he is absolutely thrown in yet he is that bad he is quite likely to be beaten by a 55 rated Easterby runner today.

The master trainer Aiden O Brien tried and failed to get a good run out of this thing in 5 Irish maidens and quickly got rid of him.

George Scott has ran him 8 times this year and has not managed to get a win into him. Horse looks to be regressing as well, the run last time was his worst run of the season. This horse can turn victory into defeat and is ungenuine, can pull hard and hang left and is in decline.

If he cannot win this open goal Ripon class 6 seller today then he must go down as one of the most useless sons of Galileos entire stud career.

It’s not often you can call a Galileo a donkey but in this case it’s entirely fitting and I’m expecting this atrocity of a racehorse to remain a maiden after today’s race.

Good call Robbo. Hope you either backed the Easterby horse or laid Yankee Stadium.

Some people must have more money than sense to want to back a 13 times maiden at odds on in a seller.

Such a shame he does not live up to his illustrious name.

13 in a row….. That’s what the Yankees had won until three days ago. Since then they’ve dropped three straight.

Tbf the least talented Galileos – or progeny of anything – never even make it onto a racecourse.

Snaafi Dancer being a prime example.

Did not realise the Yankees had been on such a good winning streak! Maybe they will qualify for the post season after all. It did not look likely earlier in the season.

Blokes Rounders is one sport I have never got on with. Am I missing out?

It is much better than rounders. And a dream for anyone who likes looking at stats and numbers.

“And a dream for anyone who likes looking at stats and numbers.”

I do, massively. Perhaps I have always dismissed the sport too readily. I don’t like Basketball or NHL either, but I really enjoy the NFL.

Imagine purchasing a Galileo and ending up with Yankee Stadium. He will probably be odds on next time and get beat again. This horse is so bad he would take the wrong course in a walkover and get disqualified.

I would bet there are far more children of Galileo either unraced or rated lower than Yankee Stadium, than rated higher. I may be wrong, just a gut feeling. Any way to find out?

    “Shame”
    “Abysmal”
    “Bad”
    “Useless”
    “Atrocity”

What horrible words used to describe a horse whose only crime is earning the best part of ten grand for his connections.

If you didn’t question the use of words like

    ‘Superstar’
    ‘Legendary’
    ‘All time Great’
    ‘Magnificent’

When describing horses such as Frankel then you have no grounds to complain about people using such words as ‘useless and abysmal’ to describe Yankee Stadium.

I have booked you a first class ticket on The Snowflake Express where you can share your pain with other like minded folk.

Isn’t it ironic that the ones who throw around the term “snowflake” are often the type to immediately resort to ad hominem when someone offers an opinion that contradicts their own?

I have no qualms with describing a horse as good as horses are lovely animals. I have no qualms with describing a horse’s performances as poor if that is an accurate description. I do have qualms about the horses themselves being denigrated. Ignoring my own personal opinion that all horses who risk their lives for our pleasure are entitled to our utmost respect, the idea that horses are spoken of in such a negative fashion is objectively bad for the sport from a PR perspective.

Fantastic stuff. You will be able to discuss all of these qualms that you both have and don’t have on The Snowflake Express.

I think you need to sit down before I reveal the name I called Denman when he beat Kauto Star in the Gold Cup.

You do realise that a horse is unable to use the internet and even if the horse in question were to have exceptional internet skills then horses still can’t understand English. So in the unlikely event of Yankee Stadium ending up on The Racing Forum he will be none the wiser so try not to worry too much.

Maybe I’m a snowflake but I agree with the Mackeson/Hennessy/King George winner on this.

I was at the races recently and some cocknified Minderesque old Herbert they’d got in to do the obligatory p*ss-poor pre-race tipping was insulting various runners.

Someone bought those horses, pays at least £10,000 a year each to keep them in training and is funding them turning up at the track to entertain everyone.

There are kinder, gentler, euphemisms, you can accentuate the positive.

There is no need to slag off virtually very runner in a card full of Class 5 and 6 Handicaps.

You clearly are a snowflake yes.

Nobody spends £10,000 a year and funds the horse to turn up at the racetrack for the benefit of entertaining others.
People who do this are doing it for there own ego or for there love of horses and racing. No owner ever said ‘I don’t like horses, I don’t like racing, I have no ego’ but I’m going to spend 10k plus because I feel such a strong need to entertain strangers.

    This is beneath absolute poppycock.
