Marlingford is, of course, correct.
Entry will be, rather than by ticket, by 500-word essay extolling the positives of a hypothetical 37-times raced 8yo maiden with an OR of 33 who has been racing from 12lb out of the handicap in Class 6 since 2019.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"September 1, 2021 at 18:33 #1558792Aren’t the terms snowflake / gammon, just trendy, convenient, and meaningless, retorts to throw back to someone who disagrees with you if you cannot think of a viable response?

September 1, 2021 at 19:00 #1558797I agree.
Twitter is full of people calling each other Gammons and Snowflakes.
The most ironic thing IMO is that they seem to think they are the intellectual elite because they are passionate about politics.
I find it hard to agree because all I see are hordes of tribalist bickering children who are either preaching to the converted or throwing “yah boo” insults at the other side.
I doubt they’ve won a single heart or mind over to their way of thinking in the entire history of the Internet.

I vote Labour but am not stupid or gullible enough to beieve they are correct on every single thing. Those that do are too dumb to form their own opinions on individual issues, so just back their ‘Team’ blindly like its a football match, and throw insults at anyone who disagrees or is on the other ‘Team’.

September 1, 2021 at 19:12 #1558799100% agree.
People on Twitter treat political beliefs and political parties like football clubs.
Either you are Conservative/Labour/Brexit/Remain/Whatever “Til I Die” or you’re not a “true fan.”
It’s not hard to find a complete idiot in any of the parties or movements and the notion you have to choose a side then support literally everything they ever do is moronic.

September 1, 2021 at 20:09 #1558811Don’t be such a Sheeple Marlo.

September 1, 2021 at 20:12 #1558812Tatling you need to “do your research” (another one of my favourites from people who have watched a couple of videos on YouTube).
September 1, 2021 at 20:18 #1558813I’ll “let that sink in”.

September 1, 2021 at 20:50 #1558814The thread appears to have been hijacked by Tony Blair fans, fascists and snowflakes.
September 1, 2021 at 21:26 #1558817Can a Tony Blair fan also be a snowflake and/or a fascist?

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"September 1, 2021 at 21:31 #1558819Apologies for bringing this thread back on topic but just because one’s father was good at something doesn’t necessarily mean that one will be themself. My dad was a decent distance runner in his day and whilst I’m reasonably fit, I can’t run to save my life. Equally, I’m good at stuff he is hopeless at.
Galileo has sired somewhat more progeny than my old man has so it stands to reason that some of them won’t follow in his footsteps. Thankfully for me, humans are valued for more than their running ability so I won’t be turning up in a Findus lasagne any time soon.
September 1, 2021 at 21:42 #1558820Richard’s invited – it was a shocking omission not having him on the original guest list.

September 1, 2021 at 21:49 #1558822You could throw in a pot noodle plug if you like. We don’t want Findus getting all the business.
September 1, 2021 at 22:05 #1558825But is water always wet, Captain?
You’ll be assuming night always follows day next.

You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between. - AuthorPosts
