I would guess Nathaniel. Partly because he is the only horse I can remember from Frankels debut when he came 2nd and they were the two group 1 horses in that maiden/novice so the only 2 likely to cross paths again.

Thommo is the best of the best. Racing has never had another presenter who comes close to the legend.
As a commentator and tipster he isn’t the best but as presenter he is masterful.

I would employ Derek Thompson to present the television racing extravaganza.

In my version the trainers, jockeys and the horses will all be GB bred, French bred, Irish bred and the women must all be women including the horses.

    Trainers:

Willie Mullins, Henry De Bromhead, Joseph O Brien

Paul Nicholls, Nicky Henderson, Dan Skelton

Venetia Williams, Lucinda Russel, Emma Lavelle

Croquette Head, J Rouget, Andre Fabre

What a day this would be. The great trainers and jockeys uniting as one force.

I’m offering 50/1 on the women’s team right now before Ascot have even agreed to host it.

Surely the time has now come for Ascot to create a NH Shergar Cup.

    4 teams.

    GB
    IRELAND
    WOMEN
    FRENCH

What a day that would be

I would need to be strict on the rules and NO MEN would get away with riding for the women’s team girls name or not. The nationalities must genuinely represent who they are also.

The day of the superstar 2yo has dawned.

In years from now all the top owners will be wanting a 2yo sired by Go Bears Go. The champion 2yo, the best of the best. This is the best 2yo this century. What an honour it will be to watch the champ land the group 1 on Irish soil.

It’s not very often you get to see a 2yo who is this sensational in your life time. This horse can put these to bed any moment he chooses.

    P&L=+126 points

    7 25 Ayr

3 Point Win -INTRIGUING LADY 3/1

Outsider stands no chance, the Ryan horse is a donkey who didn’t improve from 1st to 2nd run. Between the 2 newcomers from Quinn and Johnston’s. You would expect Johnston’s to be sharper and know her job first time and Quinn has had just 1 2yo winner from 18 runners in the last 3 months. Her dam was a group 3 winner who won over 6f as a 2yo and on breeding she looks the one for today.
Looks a very straight forward opportunity for Ben Curtis.

It’s been fixed for the women to win. The essential team GB non runner with no replacement and the Andrea incident means this was not a fair outcome.

Shame has been bestowed upon the Shergar Cup this year. A sour taste has been left in ones mouth.

A man cannot ride for the women’s team? What is going on here?

This is not the Tokyo olympics.

Not sure what’s going on Andrea Adzeni Rode the 2nd in the last race and he is riding for ROW but the colours on results show him as riding for women.

    This is outrageous

I have never known the result of a Shergar cup to be this thrilling going into the last race. Team Women and Team ROW will win the cup with a good performance here.
Kirby must win the race. This is the biggest ride of his career. A nations fate lies upon his shoulders.

The atmosphere is tense as we move into sudden death and find out who the winner of The Shergar Cup 2021 is.

    It’s Kirbys chance to shine

    TEAM GB -58
    TEAM WOMEN -58
    TEAM ROW – 53
    TEAM IRELAND – 32

Absolute disaster, team GB have a non runner in the last race and there are no reserves left to replace it so team GB go into the race with just POPMASTER. It is essential that The Captain stands up and wins this race. We are going to need Ireland to perform well and POPMASTER to win the race.

The nation awaits its fate 🇬🇧

Captain Kirby is currently setting out what is at stake here in race 5. The captain knows that if Team GB out score the womens team in this race then TEAM GB will have one hand on the trophy going into the final race. 3 big women’s chances 3 big TEAM GB chances in this race. Race 5 is the race to step it up not let them back. It’s time for the grade 1 jockeys to teach these women how to ride Ascot. We have a 9 point lead over the women and are predicting that we increase that lead.

    GB – 47 Points
    ROW – 43 Points
    WOMEN – 38 Points
    IRELAND -32 Points

Absolutely sensational scenes in race 4 with King Cieran Fallon delivering in sensational style. Doyle also deserves a mention for keeping on for 5th place and an extra 3 points but it’s Fallon who deserves to be knighted for this.

The women draw a blank and drop down to 3rd place 9 points behind GB. Ireland 15 points behind GB and in trouble.
ROW only 4 points behind but guess what

Race 5 = Team GBs champagne De Masterclass race. 3 terrific runners, 3 outstanding chances. Race 5 is where Team GB holds some serious firepower 🔥 🔥 🔥 and we go into race 5 with our heads in front.

TEAM GB will not relinquish the lead from here. 🇬🇧
