Paid £40 entry money and £4 for two racecards for half an hours "entertainement" at Kelso yesterday. Enquired about a refund and was shown the racecard by a member of staff there, which states that no refunds will be given after the first race is run.
Don’t know how you could know this when you have to have paid in first before buying a racecard.
She also told us that it was out of the courses hands as it was jockeys and trainers who complained.
Thought this was disgraceful treatment and a goodwill gesture may have been to have refunded half the entry fee.
Will think twice before going down again as it is one the the most expensive small tracks to get into and then to be treated in this manner.
Doesn’t do much to encourage racegoers, does it?
In my dictionary racism "the belief that racial differences produce an inherent superiority for a particular race".
Now maybe there are different definitions and I will stand corrected.
This comment is not racist, this comment is the inappropriate use of language. Yes I will agree that a commentator or in fact any person should refrain from using such language however there is no reason to totally villify this man and ask that he lose his job.
Keep this comment in context. It is not racist.
Not a Frankie fan however awesome performance from horse, trainer and jockey.
At last a Derby winner we can be proud of and look forward to seeing out again.
Can’t wait to see him taking on the older horses.
Yes we all have trainers we like and dont like however how many of you, if you were trainers would come out and shout from the rooftops that your horse was definately going to win. I don’t think your owner would be too impressed.
Just remember trainers are like punters, they are there to make money for themselves and their owners.
Agree with andyod. It is a different rule for the rich and powerful.
As usual the small trainer is hammered if caught yet the bigger yards have a blind eye turned.
As stated many times however regardless of price or value if a Curley horse is backed take whatevere price you get as it will win!!
Rishi is a typical BBC pundit. Says nothing that will upset the apple cart.
Lets get presenters that ill tell it as it is. Jockey rode a crap race, trainers is at it, horse is useless. It mind make losing our money that wee bit easier!!!
Cannot stand "talk with your eyes closed" Jim McGrath. He is an overbearing arrogant man.
Tanya does give some good long priced winners and I m sure to a level stake would be in front over the season.
Still think there are too many "bools in the mouth" commentators hence the reason I put up with Big Mac as he tells it like it is.
I have recently joined Betfair and thought it was better value than the ‘street bookies’ however as we all now see regardless of who we bet with there is no such thing as a poor bookie. They are in it for pure profit and the punter always suffers.<br>Mind you we all still carry on in the hope that one day we will win!!!
