I could see P Nicholls giving Master Minded the minimum amount of runs possible before Cheltenham. He can get them ready at home just as well as on the track and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Tingle Creek then straight to Cheltenham type preparation….
A certain public smoothening of the edges run. Connections did hint at it beforehand though………..
I think Silverburn still has a big race in him yet but have a feeling ground will be too lively for him today. However, his mark is on the decline and he is sure to pop up one day and it’s more than likely going to be a right-handed track as well (unlike his bro who hates going that way round!!).
Seems to be a lot of people being drawn towards the Vaughan horses……although he does seem to have a better record at the track with his hurdlers than his chasers….
The track at the Curragh would probably suit REWILDING better but I think the best of him won’t be seen until next season.
I can see him being lightly raced for the rest of the campaign….
Last thing we need is over-watering and then some good old British weather (i.e. RAIN)
Even if that does happen surely trainers won’t pull too many of their horses out? Prize money on offer would surely tempt them to have a pop regardless of softer conditions?
It could be almost ideal conditions for Principal Role – Step up in trip and good to firm will be perfect and I can picture a big run…..
Yes, looks like it will be starting Good/Good to firm. Anyone wanting even the minimum amount of give in the ground is going to be disappointed!
Only 1 front runner has won in the past 15 so that puts me off TAZEEZ.
What are we thinking with regards to the draw?
I’m thinking high numbers may just hold it.
Although a 30 runner field there doesn’t look like a huge amount of pace on which does give the suggestion that one side may end holding quite an advantage over the other….

I think BYWORD may have improvement in him yet and with this looking a poor renewal he may just prove too classy for the rest….

Yes not sure if he will reach the heights of Ollie but chance of making an impact in some class 2 – Grade 3 hcps over 3 miles.

Does anyone know any punters that are regular 1.01 backers? Can’t say I have ever met one.
Have you ever been tempted OneEye?
I think the Ballydoyle lot have made some odd decisions this season, running Rip Van Winkle 1st time out in the Queen Anne being the latest.
Of course we may all be proven wrong by this time tomorrow after Winkle has ripped the field apart(?!)…

1.01 shots?
No thanks! I’m sure there are people who make money from this but it must be tough going! In a horse race I would never contemplate such a bet.
You could possibly make more of a case for it in tennis maybe, when say someone like Federer or Nadal is serving for the match against a lesser opponent but there is so much that can go wrong in a horserace that I couldn’t imagine 1.01 being ‘value’ at any stage….
I would be shocked if ‘Rip’ can win 1st time out against match fit & multiple Group 1 winners Paco Boy & Goldikova.
Place lay by Big Bucks? I could not argue with that.
It is likely that 1m2f will prove his optimum trip this season and if he wins tomorrow then he must be an absolute machine!
