Good luck TAPK, it’s not the trends putting me off him btw, just don’t think he’s good enough to win off 107.
Re Mabait, Luca said he didn’t want to keep him especially for a race that was a while off while the horse was in tremendous form (going into the Victoria Cup) when he couldn’t guarantee he’d be in the same form in mid-June. I find it interesting Mabait and Forte Dei Marmi have been sent pot-hunting rather than being laid out for this…and all the while Acrostic has had a very quiet preparation
Good draw needed though.June 14, 2010 at 10:08 #300449Could all be academic
Fareer is drawn 16, and, no better, Acrostic is in 25.
Dandy Boy is low, in 5.
June 14, 2010 at 13:13 #300486Stats say Dandy Boy, Tiger Reigns or at a stretch, Acrostic. Draw favours the former 2.
June 15, 2010 at 21:33 #300966Mull Of Killough e/w for me. Good horse, has been threatening/promising more than he’s been delivering, and the draw isn’t TOO awful.
BlueSky @pghenn.bsky.social
So don't run, just like the others always do
June 15, 2010 at 21:44 #300968I agree about Tiger Reigns; my sort of price as well at 25/1.
June 15, 2010 at 21:47 #300969If we take a trip down memory lane I remember vividly how unlucky Lovelace was in this last year! Won his side of the race last year comfortably off 110, now in off 106. The only problem could be the draw

The times for the Queen Anne (stands side) and St James’ Palace (far side) didn’t seem to indicate much irregularity in the speed of the course, so I’m prepared to work on a ‘no bias’ basis for now.
The three I’m interested in are
Balcarce Nov
, who ran so well behind Rio De La Plata last time;
Supaseus
, who is likely to be taken on for the lead but is capable on his day; and
Marajaa
, who finished well over seven furlongs behind Dandy Man last month.
Of the three I just favour Marajaa at 25/1.
June 16, 2010 at 04:17 #3010024 for me are; Please Sing, Al Muheer, then Stoic and maybe Fareer.
I have 35 e/w Please Sing at 60 (betfair), 10 e/w Al Muheer at 48.
Please Sing has first run in handicap, since running average stone to 2 stone out of weights in Listed class miles; all against fillies. Today runs from a good draw 31?, with only 8st6. Antara beat her 3 lengths lto, when she was effectively 24lbs ‘worse-off’, so a pointer to her chance may be Antara’s run this afternoon. See across board support for her overnight… so maybe
If you rate Fareer (I do) then Al muheer has a chance, on last years runs via Secret Society, both at Ascot, where Al Muheer has effectively a 9lb pull for a half length, albeit over 7f.
Fareer is likely class act of the race, but I cant be with him this time with 9st7. Stoic has more appeal basis he even went to Dubai, is sparingly raced, right sort of weight, and driver.
June 16, 2010 at 09:41 #301051What are we thinking with regards to the draw?
I’m thinking high numbers may just hold it.
Although a 30 runner field there doesn’t look like a huge amount of pace on which does give the suggestion that one side may end holding quite an advantage over the other….
June 16, 2010 at 10:19 #301060This is a bit of a lottery imo. I’ve been hearing conflicting stories and theories about the effect of the draw, so i’m gonna do Tryst and Moynaham both each way. One drawn low, one high, so I should get a run for my money whatever the draw bias is.
June 16, 2010 at 10:23 #301061Both of those horses are drawn high, 29 and 30
June 16, 2010 at 11:55 #301097I’ve just noticed that too! Bugger it, I’ll let it fly.
Blunkett by name…
June 16, 2010 at 13:20 #301121Acrostic
Tryst

Jonjo’s Spectait was only beaten 43 lengths by Imposing so he should run well here……..that just about sums up the race for me…….the fact he actually could win this.
My old pal Tryst is thrown in here and it wouldn’t suprise me if he won, but have a bet in this? you need the draw the untrouble run plus the overall pace must suit you to a T……..way too much like hard work to me.
I’ve had a tenner on Tryst which I would have been much better giving to charity……..need a damn miracle to find the winner in this sorry excuse for a horse race.
June 16, 2010 at 13:42 #301132Hi all, I’m new to this forum but been in to my racing for quite a while, especially the flat code. I’m all over
Riggins
in this. Was at Newmarket when he ran a gallant third over 9f in his first start for a year, this has always been his target ever since Balding purchased him at the beginning of the season. He’s raised 4 lbs to 100 for that performance in a race which is working out quite well and is a good pointer for this today. I took 5 pts e/w @ 16/1 earlier in the week and have topped up @ 14’s BoG this morning. Not worried by the high draw as there is a lot of pace on that side, hoping for a big run. Look forward to contributing on here over the coming months. Whoopass.
