Provided the ground doesn’t turn soft she should be running as first time runners get preference.. The forecast looks like aftre today we’ll get sun so fingers crossed

Libby, i’d have to take issue wih you there, the sight of finely tuned horses, probably the most attractive animal there is, being coaxed round a track by true artists of their profession is in my opinion a real spectacle.. Even when you go to somewhere like Towcester, where the racing is admittedly poor, the spectacle is undiminished.. Admittedly betting adds extra emotion and interest but it’s a great sport nonetheless..

For me it’s everything, workng out the puzzle, winning money, going to the races.. To be honest I don’t mind losing as long as the losses are small as I see it as a hobby outside of work (And inside as I should really be working now!!)

If you want to sing their praises why don’t you do on their website… This is getting boring

Channel 4 did nothing to help that turning cheltenham into UK vs Ireland… It was moronic in my opinion… I thought it was trainer vs trainer, jockey vs Jockey…

And Down is a pompous tw*t.

I like Innox for exactly the same reason, plus his win over 3m 3f at cheltenham. His major appeal being that he looks a relentless galloper who has definitely come on since last season. There will no doubt be people saying he didn’t get home last year, but i’m willing to take the chance.

My other bet will be hedgehunter. Surely the best horse in the race and although yes he had a hard race in the GC, he has been aimed at this again all year and last year Ruby had merely to give him a slap and he left the field standing… I believe he was worth more than 11 lengths. So although the weight will slow him I think his jumping, stamina plus having the best staying chase jockey on his back will put him right up there….. I think sometimes the value of the jockey on board gets lost in this race but I back Walsh almost religiously in staying chases.. His ride on eurotrek was a peach

At a big price i’ve always thought Baron Windrush was a useful horse and if the ground softens i think he’s got an each way chance having won at 3m 5f on soft ground..

If BJK runs he’ll surely win, that was the most impressive win of the festival I thought and whoever said Alfie Flits cheers, I’ve been waiting for that to run and was surprsied it wasn’t in the chlt bumper as it looked a real classy animal to me

You can’t say a horse that cannot jump deserves to win a GC… Strangely enough this year all horses with good leopardstown form coming into the race got well beaten… BOS, missed that, mister hight, studmaster… I’m only going on what I noticed there but there must be some relevance..

Personally I thought WOA was a worthy winner who jumped like a champ should

I didn’t even know it had gone to Godolphin… I don’t know who they have bought in the close season but they had real 2yo of note did they?

Gman, is the horse unnamed or are you just not telling us? or is it another one of these stories that someone told someone. Cos if it’s gonna win a classic share it with us!!!!

Opera Cape was my favourite two year old, game as they come and great turn of foot… If it strengthens and sees the mile out better I think a great e/w bet for the guineas

Quote: from jackane24 on 10:35 am on Feb. 15, 2006[br]Hi. I have tricked you all. I am not really an 18yo horse racing fan. It is me, J P McManus. I have been studying this forum for the last 5 months to see what you all think of my horses and other horses which I may look to buy in the future.

See how easy that was to do??? If you want to believe, that’s fine.

Come off it mate, it’s obvious the young lady gets upset by some of the comments and has some insight that you couldn’t claim to have and I for one am with Davidbrady and believe her… The above’s just a bit petty really…. not sure what your trying to achieve other than p*ssing everyone off

Quote: from Grasshopper on 11:41 am on Feb. 13, 2006[br]After much though and consideration, I have decided to supplement my pet goldfish, Milo, for the Gold Cup after all.

It is true to say that he has never actually failed to jump round Cheltenham, and the fact that they have already started watering at the course, is obviously a real bonus.

Milo (who is not to be confused with JP’s rag of similiar name) has had his training regime stepped up in preparation for the Festival. He is looking an absolute picture at the moment, and is bound to be the pick of the haddock come race time.

There is no plaice like Cheltenham, and I full expect him to hake-up.<br>

Brilliant!! My frog’s in with a great shout then as well, jumps well, unlikely to croak at the finish but does tend to run a bit green……

I’m not sure I can afford it but no need for knocking the effort and potential, DJ. GIve them a break…. Finding the negatives all the time seems a favourite hobby of yours..

    Best of luck Daylight

There second favourites so sh*te is a bit far fetched…. But whatever, normally opinions have a justification yours is obviously based on…………?

Brazil were sh*te before 02, scraped in to the world cup and then won it…
