Should just leave two year old races alone. New to town looked like the winner but just got outstayed by yet another O’Brien horse.

The only older type horse I backed today with more established form was Enable. Says it all really.

Backed Being there, spring cosmos, and other mugboat two year olds. Might as well just put your money in an ashtray and set light to it.

I have no feeling for two year old races whatsoever.

Tigre Du Terre blew out today disappointingly but the going was woeful so I won’t write that one off just yet

Hopefully Conquest shows some promise tonight to justify my Oaks bets on her

I definitely think Dee Ex Bee is a horse to keep on the right side of this season and I put the running-on third from that race in the notebook: Capital Flight.

It’s really nice to see Farhh making a good start with his first crop. He was one of my favourite’s on the track, an outstanding horse.

Jean-Claude Rouget’s best 2yo makes a winning start at Deauville.

Remember the name Olmedo by Declaration Of War

    Simply dismantled his field today.

    Enjoy:-

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Freddy Head’s Efaadah makes a winning start in good style in the Prix Marettes.

By Dansili, she beat the well regarded and UK early favourite for the race here and it was a good way back to the third.

The winner has some substance to her and Freddy Head thinks she’s as good as he has ever had.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Quite a disappointing field for the Phoenix Stakes.

Beckford is a warm favourite but his previous race looks nothing special so far. US Navy Flag is second favourite and he has had six runs already this year, including the Coventry, where he was down the field in a race where the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th home, all got thumped next time out.

Beckford looks hard to oppose as an unbeaten and lightly raced colt.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

    Dubhe was impressive last night.

Interesting maiden at Newmarket today. Heard good things about Rastrelli on the gallops. However Godolphin have throw so many horses at this race you wonder if they have anything that’s great.

I like the look of Wafy, very beautifully bred being out of Ghaanti. Hidden depths, a son of Liber Nauticus, another very fine filly and probably one of the best looking horses I’ve ever seen, also needs monitoring.

Vintager won in the end, another mastercraftsman on soft ground. Symbolisation shaped well. Wafy wasn’t that great and didn’t look like he handled the ground.

Today I like the look of poetic charm, if she handles the ground. Capla Temptress might be her main danger

Poetic charm ran well but my bogey horse, tajannus was too good.

a good call from steve who put her up earlier in the season.

Going to start doing a spreadsheet of how i do on older horse races as compared to two year old races which I should have done already anyway. Convinced i’m much better at working out these older horse races than this random two year old stuff, for example I should have just put everything I had on sea of grace today, it was obvious she was a penalty kick.

Tomorrow you have beckford in the Phoenix. However I would be very unsure of backing him at around 6-4 given O’Briens complete dominance of this contest. The american bred Sioux Nation will surely love the ground.

Earlier I was hoping for around 3-1 Mendelsson however that seems to have long gone. The King is another one with the stables two year olds going so well.

Saw a lovely two year old earlier- Lanksy.

Looked a stand out pre race on the video from Windsor. Really good looking, tall sort of type with an intelligent head. Entered in some good races and got a big future this fellow.

I think if you go back to page 5 judge you will see that TAJAANUS was actually my call on this Thread, Though it’s possible Steve might have put her up elsewhere.

I’ve had some great prices from her last two wins this season. Taken 33/1 for next year’s 1000 Guineas although she has to prove herself on better than good to soft she will have to improve in leaps and bounds to take on Clemmie but who knows what can happen between now and then.

Totally agree with you on Lansky..when Noseda gets a good one he’ll be worth following. Gerard Mosse’s only ride at the meeting, good luck with your spreadsheet :rose: Jac
