good stuff Raymo/Clints
February 8, 2018 at 11:59 #1341241Good input, keep it coming everyone.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
February 8, 2018 at 12:04 #1341242Will attempt this again this week!
Going to put up selections for all the races even though, there are a few races i would never touch betting-wise….like the first for example.
2.30 Winter Lightning evs
3.05 Ormindo 10s and Grand Argentier 16s both e/w —Ormindo, runs off same mark here when 5th and so does GA when winning. fair prices if bouncing back.
3.40 My Catch 9/2 The first 4 in the market are beating one another with no certain form line IMO, i will take the chance on My Catch in stall 1, getting a lead this time and being hard to catch. It is sure to be tactical. To be fair to Comicas his run behind Tasleet at York is good form, but i am willing to take him on.
4.15 Polybius 16/1 ew Probably going to look a bit silly here but with dead 8 running i think he’s a huge price. Weighted to get closer to Dutch Masterpiece, he has some UK form which entitles him to be thereabouts, for all translating that to here is tricky. He hasn’t ran badly here before either. Certainly a good e/w
4.50 Thunder Snow 13/8 Decent 3yo form in UK and abroad, hope he can come on for the run and turn the form around.
5.25- Zaman 10/11,
6.00- Leshlaa 9/1 and Banksea 6/1. Both e/w + should improve for their runs. They have good handicap form in the UK. I put up leshlaa last time, and he was keen…hopefully the bigger field will suit with a faster pace.Good luck all.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!February 8, 2018 at 12:07 #1341243good stuff Jack
steve what do you make of librisa Breeze in the sprint, on finals night?
February 8, 2018 at 13:13 #1341247Librisa has a chance I’d say but if you refer to my earlier thread (right at the beginning) Battaash wont show up, Ertijaal is better at 5f and therefore Harry A can easily mop this prize up on rattling fast ground (as lomg as they dont have the thunderstorms this year!). However I dont think thats part of their plans, even though they can quickly get back the money back they paid for the horse.
……and that is also why Im just a punter haha
February 8, 2018 at 13:20 #1341249@Raymo
That’s a real shame about the non runner in the 4.50 as my each way Grendisar is available at 100/1 which looks an amazing price for a horse that has beaten Furia Cruzada at Lingfield albeit in 2016.
With Gerald Mosse on board who knows what could be possible and the RF will pay well if he does manage 2nd.High hopes but in racing expect the unexpected..LOL
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...February 8, 2018 at 14:57 #1341267First powerhouse home with a nice each way on Expressiy paying better odds than the winner…well done all
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...February 8, 2018 at 14:58 #1341268Librisa Breeze surprised me a bit when winning the Champion Sprint because I really felt he was a 7F specialist. The ground obviously helped a lot that day.
Overall, I feel Librisa Breeze is ground dependent. He is 3/4 on all weather and a slightly disappointing 3/12 on turf. He seems to come up short most of the time when encountering better ground. He did have one win on good to firm but that was in a handicap, he’s never won on good but has two wins and two seconds on soft and three wins on all weather.
Harry Angel clearly ran out of puff in the Champion Sprint and got a ride that was neither one thing or the other really. Sort of half held up but in the end probably committed too early, yet not aggressive enough to perhaps get far enough clear that he might hold on despite tiring in the closing stages.
I would reckon the autumn might be his time to shine in the mud.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
February 8, 2018 at 15:17 #1341269good start people with winter lightning (and expressiy ) I thought I see someone put the 2nd winner up but for the life of me I cant find it now.
On LB just think they might get away from him if its good or quicker, they will imo have to stop in front for him to win, cue 6L hose up.
February 8, 2018 at 15:27 #1341270Just had a look on the nomination on World Cup Night:
On good or fast ground, I cannot see Librisa Breeze can win it at all. He needs rain to help but interestingly the race was run on softer ground last year. Normally Australia and HK sprinters should have advantage on good or fast ground. Music Magnate is the best one among the Australians. Amazing Kids failed to handle soft ground last year.
But I am still surprised that D P Pin was only nominated in Golden Shaheen but not also Al Quoz.
February 8, 2018 at 15:32 #1341271cheers for that patrick
February 8, 2018 at 15:33 #1341272Missed the first couple of races but these are my bets:
2:30 – Winter Lightning @ 1/1
The step up to mile will surely suit. I saw her on debut at Newmarket and she was beaten by one to watch for next season. She got up last time on the line and the extra curling will suit her more than Rayya.
3:05 – Sea Strimmer @ 9/2
Tough handicap but name fell on him.
3:40 – Comicas @ 2/1
Don’t like the way he’s drifted but took the 2/1 yesterday.
4:15 – Hit the Bid @ 6/5
Far too short for a handicap but he should win easily.
4:50 – Thunder Snow @ 13/8
Another favourite I hear you cry. It’s one of those cards. A multiples only card for me.
5:25 – Zaman @ 10/11 (NAP)
Think this horse could well be going places throughout this carnival. One to watch after today too.
6:00 – Gilt Complex @ 10/1
The Singapore runners form is hard to judge but I’d say that’s a big price for an h known quantity who has looked decent over there.
Good luck all. Wish ATR would show the races quicker. Still not seen the second race yet. See Winter Lightning won thlugh.
February 8, 2018 at 15:44 #1341274Just caught the end of the race there…but looks to me, like My Catch has done what i thought and jumped from stall 1 and run them into the ground!

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!February 8, 2018 at 15:47 #1341275well done Jack and Raymo never in dooubt
February 8, 2018 at 16:11 #1341279Muarrab short enough favourite AGAIN and again well beaten. Just as well I didn’t do Comicas this time, as he was no match for My Catch. The form turn around from a fortnight ago was 6 lengths with Comicas today and over 13 lengths with Muarrab from their meeting 2 runs ago.
You could hardly call this group consistent. Probably better just taking the biggest odds and keeping the fingers crossed
. Well done all those who identified that it was My Catch’s turn to shine. Whose turn next time I wonder?
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
February 8, 2018 at 16:45 #1341281My catch and Hit the Bid both win easy!!
I am kicking myself in the seond cos I backed two each way both Doug watson’s and he goes and wins with his other one at 20/1nad has the second two Grrrrrrrr!!I have had a samll bet on North America in the 4.50 hoping the trip helps.
Grendisar non runner Jac
February 8, 2018 at 16:55 #1341282It’s raining winners here. Thunder and Lightning at Meydan today

Hope Zaman can keep it up later.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
