Very well done NWalton
Cheers Jac, you are the real Grandmaster of Meydan
(apart from your little Frankel fixation
)March 30, 2019 at 16:23 #1414915I know kept insisting Cross Counter was
Cross Country…still wants to change it..LOL
Lol Hein and thank you…is there something I can take for that?
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 30, 2019 at 16:38 #1414918TOP STUFF NW and JAC and HEIN too

All down to the last now.
Interesting to see how Thunder Snow copes with the draw
March 30, 2019 at 16:39 #1414919Shouldn’t it be Grandmistress ?
March 30, 2019 at 16:40 #1414920Gender equality and all that
March 30, 2019 at 16:44 #1414921What a battle up the straight
March 30, 2019 at 16:44 #1414922
He did it
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 30, 2019 at 16:45 #1414923What a finish to a great day, even without a bet I was cheering Thunder Snow for, his backers on here.
No wonder we love racingMarch 30, 2019 at 16:47 #1414924Well done Jac great end to the day and all other TS backers
March 30, 2019 at 16:47 #1414925Great finish
March 30, 2019 at 16:54 #1414926Still shaking, couldn’t have signed off better, have thoroughly enjoyed this NW and didn’t we all do well
…looking forward to being back next year to do it all again …but meanwhile the flat beckons
…Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 30, 2019 at 17:05 #1414927Thank you Raymo, and indeed you are right, as in Germany this gender debate is also a big thing, but mostly for all those greens who feed vegan
Jac I already anticipated Thunder Snow’s win
, but I didn’t have enough energy left to push the button
No need to do something against it
, just stay the wonderful way you are
March 30, 2019 at 17:14 #1414928What a brilliant days racing

I think between us we backed most of the winners apart from X Y JET
That is typical of this thread. Throughout the carnival we have consistently backed winners
Give yourselves the proverbial pat on the back folks
March 30, 2019 at 17:36 #1414931Well that lived up to expectations……and then some

What a great thread this has been, and the bookies will still be wincing
after nwalson, Jac, Raymo and Mom have cleaned up….well done gang
March 30, 2019 at 19:03 #1414970Seen the results after the footy. Absolutely bloody chuffed. Not just for me but for everyone on here who’s backed them. A great day all round it seemed.
Started well with Coal Front winning at 9/1. Two I expected to win followed up with Cross Counter and Blue Point. The UAE Derby was a losing race with fully disappointing with no runner in the sprint the favourite won. Up next was the main bet.. and she won. Almond Eye – superstar! Delighted with that. Old Persian put the cherry on the cake by winning the turf.
Well done everybody. After Meydan 2018 was my worst overall festival, I stuck to just today’s meeting this year and there’s a strong chance it’ll end as my best of the year this time round.
See you all on this thread next year!
March 30, 2019 at 19:07 #1414971Just sloping in late after the party’s over..didn’t back anything, didn’t watch any of it….but well done you lot, it looks like you were winning all round yourselves!
March 30, 2019 at 21:53 #1414987Sounds like a great days punting for all
Was particularly pleased with the style that old Persian won in, I had tipped him to several of my friends who also bet saying he was the banker of the day, travelled like a dream and put the race to bed in a few strides
After what feels like an age since the last time I finally managed to get up 3 winners on a trixie too with invincible army, mootasadir and thunder snow all obliging
What a fantastic horse thunder snow is, very very tough and clearly loves the game as he gave it absolutely everything to get his nose in front there
Safe to say I aged about 5 years in that final 2 furlongs
Now the challenge is to find some winners for aintree’s and not give all the money won today back to the bookies
Well done all winners
