something of a handicap for my Fantasy Stable! Glad he’s retired in one piece though and I wish him well

It was certainly an idiotic defence on every level. If he’d just held his hands up, it would barely have made the racing papers and he’d probably have got a shorter ban. As it is, his "sleep driving" claim is all over the national press. Even made front page of the BBC UK news website.

"Criminal damage"? I’d call it threatening behaviour at the very least

Thanks. I wasn’t saying that it would have been ok not to show the whole race anyway, just less despicable than just giving priority to the ads – which is obviously what they did. Thanks for clarifying

I was also seething about the fact they showed adverts rather than the advertised Wetherby 3.15. However, I’m now wondering if that race had clashed with the delayed 3pm, meaning it was just a recording and they just showed the closing stages to avoid Ever Fortune’s fatal injury earlier in the race

I just joined both. I’m not sure if it’s possible to merge the lists but we can sort that out later (and I think you can join leagues at any time during the competition). Today’s the deadline for submitting a stable.

    Good luck!

I’ve struggled to muster anything more than a vague passing interest since it stopped being shown on proper telly. I certainly wouldn’t waste any money betting on it

They have a new competition for the jumps. Kicks off on 15th Nov. Are we up for it?

on the plus side, you can get stuff done and know you’re missing nowt if you just get back to the telly in time for the race!

Yes, we were 10th shortly after racing but there must have been some results to come. I also took a severe tumble down the overall positions Gede. It’s been good fun though, thanks for organising.

My last trip to the Cheltenham Festival was the day he won the Triumph. Not many of that day’s winners left now, all lost in very sad circumstances. R.I.P. Countrywide Flame (and Bellvano, Synchronised, Brindisi Breeze)
