Also only 6 years old, put to sleep because he was in too much pain from the illness that caused his retirement. So unfair.

No horse deserves to be in any amount of pain for any amount of time but I did have a soft spot for this guy. Not only was he a tough little machine on the track but he was one of the incredibly rare animals to have won at Cartmel before taking any race at the Cheltenham Festival, let alone a Grade One.
Heart-wrenching to hear.
