2.30 Night of Thunder (Solow)
3.05 War Department (Round Two)
3.40 Sole Power (G Force)
4.20 Gleneagles (Make Believe)
5.00 Asbury Boss (Rhombus)
5.35 Orvar (NAP) (Nelspruit)Thanks Triptych. I assure you that nobody is more astonished than me. I just wish it reflected my actual betting activities!
I’m sure he knew she’d improve for a step up in distance but you never know how much until they run. I suspect he was genuinely surprised she’d beaten Legatissimo.
Not sure I’d agree that there were “no hard luck stories”. Diamondsandrubies was as good as brought down and still came back to finish 4th. I suspect Star of Seville was already spent by the time the same happened to her but you never know. She may have plugged on for a place
Nothing is idiot proof to the determined idiot!
I was also on Saint Are. Thought he was going to do it as they jumped the last but the winner was just too good. Year after year we hear about the winner being the type to “be the first after Red Rum to do back to backs” but, for once, I see no reason why Many Clouds shouldn’t be in with a decent shout.
Hooray – he’s up and ok apparently Nathan.

Night In MilanAgree with all this. And don’t get me started on the “jockeycam”.
They could have done worse to approach Jamie Moore since he’s out of action. He was certainly one of the more entertaining guests they’ve had on the Morning LineMarch 28, 2015 at 00:27 in reply to: Aintree wants to throw out photographers who are taking photos of drunk women #869001Such excesses certainly aren’t unique to Aintree. Epsom on Derby day, Glorious Goodwood, even Ascot itself…seems a particular type of snobbery to focus on Aintree just because the drunks may not be as expensively kitted out. Not sure how they’d target these “photographers” either, given that most people have phones capable of not only photographing victims but also broadcasting the image globally. In terms of racecourse safety, I doubt any of these people get near a horse or the racecourse. General racecourse drunks are a separate issue and evident at every meeting. All achieve that state as a result of visits to on site bars so should, in theory, be easy enough to control.
Couldn’t agree more. I always thought that the horse’s Gold Cup victory was down to the ride Russell gave him. If they seriously think he can repeat that feat (frankly unlikely regardless of who is on board), perhaps a change of stable is the answer….
Feared the worst following the shifty commentary after this race and very sorry to hear it confirmed. R.I.P.
Sadly, I suspect that’s the last we’ll see of Sprinter Sacre. I hope he’s ok. I think there is another good season in Sire De Grugy. Not sure I want to see old Sizing Europe struggling round in any more top races though. If there is anyone who has earned an honourable retirement, it’s him.
March 10, 2015 at 08:17 in reply to: Cheltenham Festival – Telegraph Fantasy – Join the TRF League #822399Good work. Wondered if anyone would set up a league for this. Could have done it myself of course…
Good luck everyone!
Amen to that Triptych
What a shame. I’d hoped this lovely old chap would have had a long and happy retirement. R.I.P.
Dreadful news. Loved him to bits
I didn’t see it but sadly reported as a fatality. R.I.P. Diamond Fizz
