    I’ve only done EOD in the Ryanair so far.

    May have a tickle on Disko, and some e/w pennies on Isleofhopeanddreams, Thomas Crapper and Hadrian’s Approach.

    I like Hoiles. He mentions colours in running, notices errors back in the field.

    I also like the course graphics they use.

    3.09 on Wednesday. Twenty minutes before the Champions Chase, and TV have just spent two minutes’ screen time with their pretty weathergirl telling us that it’s sunny at Cheltenham today.

    AArrgghh. What is this bollocks?

    Tiger Roll got 10-10 in the National. Wonder if Elliott regrets taking it out after O’Leary’s dummies-out-the-pram tantrum. Next year will be 10 lbs higher after that 4m win earlier.

    2:50 – so many old favourites here. Had to include Theatre Guide (e/w) but really fancy Noble Endeavor and Junction Fourteen (e/w) too.

    Was away on Saturday, so recorded Sandown. Just catching up with it now. Before the race, C4 had a small feature on SS winning the Champions Chase. They showed from three-out, set to the song ‘Impossible Dream’. Watching him glide past Un De Sceaux between three and two out, then fly over the second-last – brings a tear to the eye. Amazing.

    My favourite sporting moment of the year my a long way.

    This looks as hard as last week’s big race.

    Alvarado must have a decent shout e/w at 40s?

    I like a lot of them. Straidnahanna has Cook on board, so can not be ruled out. But you could make a case for most of them tbf.

    With Aintree now having those races over the National fences in the autumn, the novelty of the Topham has (for me) reduced. Not sure if here is the place to discuss that.
