Great footage of Jimmy Frost watching Briony win the Foxhunters.
If Luke says a horse has “hosed up” just once more, I’ll hose him up, once I find out what it means.
Phil Smith must be smiling! Presenting Percy won easy despite his impossible weight.
I’ve only done EOD in the Ryanair so far.
May have a tickle on Disko, and some e/w pennies on Isleofhopeanddreams, Thomas Crapper and Hadrian’s Approach.
I like Hoiles. He mentions colours in running, notices errors back in the field.
I also like the course graphics they use.
I suspect that we’ll not see Douvan take on Altior at all.
3.09 on Wednesday. Twenty minutes before the Champions Chase, and TV have just spent two minutes’ screen time with their pretty weathergirl telling us that it’s sunny at Cheltenham today.
AArrgghh. What is this bollocks?
Ul, raymo. I watched Scoir Mear, about 13th jumping the best, finished 5th.
Is there a highlights show on ITV at all tonight that will include the two non-ITV races from this afternoon?
He’s not in QF, got taken out last forfeit stage………unfortunately

Yeah, I noticed that straight after posting!
Tiger Roll got 10-10 in the National. Wonder if Elliott regrets taking it out after O’Leary’s dummies-out-the-pram tantrum. Next year will be 10 lbs higher after that 4m win earlier.
1:30 – leaving this alone
2:10 – ditto, watching Altior.
2:50 – so many old favourites here. Had to include Theatre Guide (e/w) but really fancy Noble Endeavor and Junction Fourteen (e/w) too.
3:30 – Moon Racer
4:10 – Limini
4:50 – Tiger Roll
5:30 – Foxtail Hill, Double W’s (e/w)Sorry for the fence-sitting there.
Good luck everyone, I’ve really enjoyed the build up to Cheltenham this year on TRF, some great discussions, it must be one of the most open Festivals for years.
This.
Really enjoy this forum, even the bickering ;)
Much better and clearer in my opinion.
Can actually find Ashforth’s Angles now!
Was away on Saturday, so recorded Sandown. Just catching up with it now. Before the race, C4 had a small feature on SS winning the Champions Chase. They showed from three-out, set to the song ‘Impossible Dream’. Watching him glide past Un De Sceaux between three and two out, then fly over the second-last – brings a tear to the eye. Amazing.
My favourite sporting moment of the year my a long way.
This looks as hard as last week’s big race.
Alvarado must have a decent shout e/w at 40s?
I like a lot of them. Straidnahanna has Cook on board, so can not be ruled out. But you could make a case for most of them tbf.
With Aintree now having those races over the National fences in the autumn, the novelty of the Topham has (for me) reduced. Not sure if here is the place to discuss that.
Great preview, VtC.
