Isn’t Supasundae a weak finisher? Can’t fancy Allblak, worried about jumping fluency for Mister Miyagi & Sure Reef plus latter may prefer softer at trip. Hawk High just a tad exposed. Tombstone is solid but 4/1 for a 26 runner h’cap!!!! Also like Peregrine Run but only 9/1.

Very tight but top two on my ratings both happen to be backable E/W, 6 places: Kalondra @ 18/1 & Modus @ 16/1.

Good luck all. Will be about 16 horses held up all looking for a run at the same moment :)

I’ve done Peregrine Run at 9/1. He seems one of the more likely to run his race and he ticks loads of boxes.

He’s won here and it might have been too soft last time he ran. That race has thrown up winners and his previous win from Wholestone has been boosted plenty. The stable are 4/20 and although not having a lot of runners have tended to do well enough with those who are at odds that suggest they hold a chance.

I think Peregrine Run will be hard to keep out of the frame at 9/1 and he looks far better value than Tombstone at half the odds.

My main bet today will be Peregrine Run 9/1 and Divin Bere 5/1 in the Fred Winter. No point moaning about the odds, Divin Bere looks the class act, has the scope, is trained by the King of Cheltenham and they landed the big one yesterday. I can see them getting behind Divin Bere big time in the Triumph Hurdle Silver Cup equivalent and it would not surprise me to see Nicky Henderson’s juvenile go off 3/1 handicap or not. Any earlier wins for the stable would make this more likely surely.

    2.50 Peregrine Run 9/1
    4.50 Divin Bere 5/1

    Two singles and a double.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Steve, you’ve placed an unnecessary bet there. You should wait on your single on Divin Bere until Peregrine Run has run. If PR wins, no need to place the single on DB because the double’s working for you. If PR loses, place the single.

Hawk High is exposed as Charles says but at his first attempt at this trip, worth risking at 33/1 as a saver to one I suspect is a blot – Tombstone.

    Tombstone.

Obvious choice. We can all see how the Supreme from last year is working out.

If not I hope Peregrine Run wins, as it looks like the champagne corks will be popping on the forum if it does.

Backed him for the County NRNB at a price. Cannot believe he is in this and all my others have made it as well. Took the 40’s E/W 5 Places. That makes 4 in the race now

I do rate Tombstone most highly of the three who all ran similarly in the Supreme but the difference in price between him and Mister Miyagi/Supasundae is disproportionate.

I haven’t written on many threads about Cheltenham as being a flat fanatic I leave it to those who know what they are talking about B-) ..BUT I have so been looking forward to seeing TOMBSTONE run again after beating Jezki last time out.

He is one of my picks in Bobby’s 10 to follow and it was his run at this meeting last year against Altior that drew me too him and was hoping they were going to supplement him for the Champion Hurdle I think he would definitely have placed.

TOMBSTONE a very skinny 4/1 but think he is a Champ in waiting for 2018.

Good luck everyone.and all come home sound & safe :rose:

Have had a very rare win bet on Tombstone. Waxies Dargle is a horse I have to back [although missed it’s recent win]. Hargam is supposed to be in good nick again. Leoncavallo [sp] is my top rated horses and I’ve had to follow VtC with Sure Reef#myusualscattergunapproach!

Scoir Mear and Kalondra for me.
Scoir ran second to Automated and looks to be primed for this and Kalondra won very easily last time out!!

Ul, raymo. I watched Scoir Mear, about 13th jumping the best, finished 5th.

Saves me going back down to the bookies. If the first horse wins the other bets are paid for anyway and if it loses it saves me going back down town. No harm in having more money on if the double is alive and the stakes are covered anyway.

Anyway, well done Supasundae backers. Peregrine Run travelled well enough on the inside but he found absolutely nothing, that was very disappointing but after Might Bite I was well on top today already, having done him at 10/1 and again at 6/1 ante-post.

I had Tombstone and Tin Soldier as lays here. Tombstone was way too short and suicidal in my view. These “blots” often disappoint and normally at silly odds. I mentioned Tin Soldier on another race thread as looking like he takes some stoking and I felt he was bad value at 5/1 on this ground.

Still coming back to earth here after the drama of the RSA and I am giving the Douvan race a miss. Surely Willie will get off the mark here.

Anyway congrats to the Supasundae fans, he did that really well there.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
