Richard “But it was just some bad words on social media. Shouldn’t the police be investigating real crimes? This is a threat to free speech! I think that’s how it works.”

Free Speech, it’s a wonderful concept Richard, I think we’re half way down the
slippery slope though. Speech is limited by laws brought in by the Govt to cover
harrasment, public disorder, defamation and terrorism. When they (the men at the
High Table) wan’t something or someone out of the way, they manage to fit speech,
or whatever, into one of those boxes

Not quite: these laws were introduced to protect the interests of the billionaires who really run the country.

Thanks Graham it’s a funny scene something out of a Stephen King film rows of beds we then put blind fold on and are pumped with stuff, it’s just tiring but think that’s an age thing thanks again Kate and hope all is well with you :good:

Mothin Ali wants some candidates to sue their own party, unraveling already, the take over of the greens won’t be long in coming if you can’t see what is happening you are as silly as me ;-)

I was laying the sarcasm on with a trowel. I haven’t seen the right wing media reaction to the arrests but when one of their own was inciting violence online that was pretty much what they said. Something tells me that it won’t quite be the same this time.

Of course free speech has its limits, it is it not freedom from consequences as I have said many times in the past. Anyone engaging in racism or discrimination should feel the consequences, regardless of who it is against or their political persuasion. I just hope that we see this applied equally. Police may be busy if it is.

I agree Glad, there’s always that consideration, It begs the question,
who actually runs the country. It’s the men behind the men in grey suits,
The laws are brought in as freedon “within ths law” but they are also a
framework of free speech that’s tailored, for those and such, to control
“cancel culture” and laws that limit public protest or criminalize speech
“deemed” offensive or harmful causing a shift towrds a managed speech democracy
which suits some more than others.

On QT last night Zia Yusuf was good. How the man keeps a straight face when criticising the Greens over racism was beyond me

The Greens are investigating more than 30 counvil candidates for alleged anti-Semitism.

In other news, Polanski was never an official spokesman for the British Red Cross, as he once claimed.

His credibility is collapsing already. Even the ex-Leader of the Greens has been criticising him.

‘False Flag’ Green candidate withdraws from the upcoming Makerfield.

Greens had originally covered up this reason, instead saying he withdrew for “personal and family reasons”.

    Oops

Reform have never had any dodgy candidates or covered anything up. Honest.

    Pot. Kettle.

Whilst there’s no denying that the Greens have had issues with some of its candidates’ past utterings, it’s nowhere near the scale of Reform’s problems which we barely hear a peep about from those on the right.

No coincidence that the three longest established parties aren’t seeing this on the same scale. They are clearly better at vetting. Out of the Greens and Reform I know who I have more faith in to sort it out.

Apparently he safeguards children…yet he comes up with ‘false flag’ conspiracies over Oct 7th.
    Despicable individual.

Greens need to sort out their membership.

Caroline Lucas must be absolutely livid, after her successful efforts to make the Greens mainstream. She’s a world apart from Polanski and his disciples.
