Sorry everyone who backed Peregrine run that I jinxed him for you

Never mind Peregrine run, more like Peregrine rut, I couldn’t buy a winner at the moment.

Perhaps the only consolation is that I’m hardly the only punter having a stinker of a festival.

Very disappointed with Tombstone today at no stage did he look likely to make a challenge.. but that’s racing and hope all is ok with him.

Well done to all who backed Supasundae what a brilliant win and kicking myself for not looking beyond Tombstone as Supasundae was a Galileo out of a Danehill mare (the Frankel factor ;-) )

What a very exciting and open Festival it’s turning out to be.
Good luck for the remainder of the Festival. :good: Jac

Yes, well done Supasundae backers. Egg on face, stayed best of all on the day. Managed to grab an E/W 6th with Modus. Once again the lesson is reinforced, it’s almost madness to back 4/1 & 5/1 favs in these 20+ runner handicaps!

I didn’t have a penny on him but I’m pleased for Supasundae. He looked like a class act in the early days and finally put it all together. Now he settles, he seems to get much longer trips than his pedigree would suggest.

Lots of honourable defeats and hard luck stories in behind. Taquin Du Seuil ran right up to the best of his chase form and was unlucky to just bump into one even better treated. Modus ran the race of his life off 156. River Frost still seems to be improving and shaped like he’s ready for three miles now. Scoir Mear made incredible late gains. Tin Soldier obviously needs 3m but ran as well as could be expected. Peregrine Run and Mister Miyagi both had rough trips and both could have been given better rides – I could see them leaving this form behind in future.
