Meant to add: all being well with him by then, I think Friesan Fire has a great chance in the Belmont.
I think Pioneerof The Nile will run and win. Wish Rachel Alexandra would still run against fillies at this point of the season – take the colts later on and beat them. Don’t think this will happen in the Preakness. One thing I’m pretty sure of (oh,dear, going out on a limb) is that Mine That Bird won’t win the Preakness.
Come on, Chief Lone Eagle! I’ve been looking forward to his reappearance for some time now. Thought his sole run last year beating Toraidh and Rockhampton was impressive.
He was entered two or three times last month and not run – and today he’s running on heavy Curragh ground! Here’s hoping!
I’m guessing that Vocalised won’t now be going to France with Intense Focus but will run in the Irish Guineas.
Well done, Bulwark and Moehat. I for one never gave the winner a look in, despite her canny trainer and her truly amazing breeding.
Not only Giant’s Causeway and Mr. Prospector, but her second dam is the wonderful Height of Fashion.
Apparently Sheikh Hamdan has said she probably wouldn’t get 12f and probably wouldn’t go for the Oaks, but it might be worth a try. She’s sure to get 10f.
You win, IC!

Agree with you about both John Oxx and STS – may they have a very successful season!

I’ve just been looking back through the thread.
I think the first mention of Sea The Stars was by Andyod, Page 14, April 10th.
Yes, but at the hideous risk of touting my own prescience, I mentioned Sea the Stars on another thread (What 5 horses are you most looking forward to seeing?) on 22 March. However, this good guesswork is radically undermined by two factors: I mentioned more than the requested five horses, and reckoned Sea the Stars to be my Derby, not Guineas, candidate.
I just wish I had put STS in all three, rather than just two, of my TTF lists! (Rip in all three BTW – will there be any joy in this – hope so!)
Sea The Stars – each way
Heart Shaped – each way
Superb! Looking forward to it.
Thanks, Gaz, hope running the comp doesn’t put the jinx on you and that you repeat your success of last year!
Badactor, I think Chocolate Candy has a great chance too – and he is such a beautiful horse! think Friesan Fire may have too much
fire
power for him on Saturday – but they are my two picks. Think Pioneerof The Nile will finish ahead of I Want Revenge by the way just as he has in the past. Dunkirk is a lovely horse but just doesn’t have the experience that seems necessary for this race.
To be fair to Godolphin, either Crisford or Bin Suroor (can’t remember which) said a little while ago that Gladiatorus’s participation in the Lockinge was only a possibility – dependent on his acclimatisation coming back from Dubai. I don’t think this means anything dire – fervently hope not. Gladiatorus could be an exciting addition to the British/Irish UK summer scene.
Still, the Lockinge looks much poorer without him. Paco Boy, Aqlaam – and then what?
