Fresian Fire Wins the Lacomte at the fairgrounds.
He didnt win it doing cartwheeels, last years form at this track was disidedly suspect…. Theirs more come from this colt, he has a high knee action which makes me worry about him on bone hard dirt tracks, turf or polytrack may suit him better long term.
Still a win is a win, his dam is a sprint bred Austrailain, AP Indy must have had real fun and games nderstanding her accent when he took her out for a meal then a romp in the hay too the strains of the heart song “All I Want too Do is make love too you”. ;D
January 11, 2009 at 20:16 #203242YP,
I don’t mind the rest of it, but could you please spell the name of the horse correctly, so that I don’t waste time looking it up?
Kind regards
Gerald
January 11, 2009 at 20:20 #203244Found it.
Friesan Fire.
January 11, 2009 at 20:30 #203250On your other point, AP Indy probably didn’t enjoy the experience, because Australian women are useless at sex; its because they’ve had to put up with Australian men.
January 11, 2009 at 22:34 #203287Sorry, heres the link below. In fairness the colts dam has a sprinter/miler pedigree. As for Aussie men, well my experince is that they seem too try too be macho and very insecure. To Much time in the showers with the other men so less time in bed.

The link also has a link too the video of the race, see what you think.
January 12, 2009 at 00:56 #203319Thanks, YP. I tried, but as I live in a pub I don’t have a landline telephone, and so I have a mobile internet connection. Round about 50kB per second. Not very useful for watching videos. Who was the jockey on number 2 – looked like a female jump jockey with that style.
edit: where is the best place to look up form for american horses? I tried accessing Daily Racing Form yesterday, but to register they wanted details of my non-existant credit card. I’m getting one in a few days though. I just tried attheraces and looked at a race later this evening, but it just seems to be a basic racecard, without any form.
January 12, 2009 at 01:52 #203332I’ll be looking out for old fashioned
January 12, 2009 at 02:16 #203339Haven’t tried to follow the Durby before. (Never had the Internet before.)
All these horses that have been running late November, December, January, are they let down at any time, or are they kept ticking over all the time? No wonder so few of them bother to carry on to Pimlico.
January 12, 2009 at 02:42 #203342Nope they run straight up to the big one Gerald, it’s known as the "Triple Crown Trail" and anything that’s injured is said to be "off the trail".
The last trial is run a few days before the big one – it’s a trial in name only mind.
For me the best bets at the moment will be those already qualified ie. the BC Juvenile winner, the Delta Jackpot winner and IMHO the best 2yo of last year (male or female) Stardom Bound though she’s a doubtful runner and I really don’t like her trainer
January 12, 2009 at 03:54 #203359We had both nights of the BC on in the pub. There were quite a few impressive performances, and I think a couple from the Friday night have got mingled in my head. I think I thought Stardom Bound was the most impressive, but when I just checked the result on the RP website, she only won by 1.5 lengths.
She was sold for 5.7million guineas at Fasig-Tipton 2 November, so who owns and trains her now?Fillies have won the Kentucky Derby a few times. If they had run, would any fillies have won the Epsom Derby in the past forty years or so?
January 12, 2009 at 06:06 #203371You’d have to say Balanchine would have gone close in the Epsom version (she won the Irish Derby).
Stardom Bound is now with Rick Dutrow (and i think IEAH Stables) – those of Big Brown fame.
She’s a beast mind and was my second biggest AP Breeders Cup bet of 2008.
January 12, 2009 at 06:13 #203372Out of interest Irish Stamp, what was the biggest?
January 12, 2009 at 07:06 #203373The Z Monster at prices between 9/4 and evs
January 12, 2009 at 19:52 #203463I remember watching channel 4 i think it was for the arc, The guy with the dark complexion said that he would walk it home it in his bare feet if Zarakava won, it had no chance according to him ! I’ve no idea what his name is. He probably drowned anyway.

Waiting for Zenyatta’s romp in the 2009 BC Classic now
January 12, 2009 at 23:59 #203518That’s the one I.S. What odds are they giving you on Zenyatta for the BC. I’d be slightly cautious on two accounts, the first being the liking that the Europeans have taken to Santa Anita, and secondly the whinging yanks are trying to get it changed to dirt. What are the odds ?
January 13, 2009 at 01:08 #203536Stardom Bound is currantly at Bobby Frankels barn at Santa Anita bound for the series of prep races for the Santa Anita Oaks, my feeling is however that she might end up prepping for the Kentucky Derby in the Santa Anita Derby, which has a great record in the past for horses who have won or placed their going on too win the Kentucky Derby.

I advise you too watch the videos on Ytube as they seem too stick allot.
