Added limini and apples at big prices, if either of them absolutely bolt up tomorrow theyll end up here (regardless of what anyones said)
More likely limini will appear here than apples id say
Worth a small amount at the prices
Does anyone have a viable bet in this race?
With Identity Thief pretty much ruled out i’m now left without a runner (Altior in lucky 15’s).
But maybe that’s a good thing!
I had forest bihan to be placed at 7s and benie des dieux at 8s, not sure what either are now (dont think the latter will run)
Dont see it as much of a betting race though, unless you were lucky enough to get on altior against….
Get on Chateau Conti Ham. looked a worldy last time out
My only point of view on chateau conti was he had almost identical form (previous to the deloitte) to melon, look how that turned out, although running 2f shorter on better ground may help or hinder i dont know, will be surprised if he turned up now…. he looked poor….. i was happy to throw some £s at the prices and to be honest id probably still throw some at the 150s he is just now
i have small amounts on melon at bigger prices, but after broken souls run today, id be as worried about backing him at 4/1 than i would be backing chateau conti at 150/1
At no point did i say he was a “worldy” and delving into form dosent always give you sensible outcomes, cant remember who i said it to on here may have been you…
You think you take an intelligent view on horse racing, but it probably isnt
Broken soul,2nd place in melons maiden win turned over at 1/3 beaten 9 lengths
Nothing standing out in this race whatsoever, you could be right stilvi with the likes of beyond conceit
There is a stand out horse, he’s been nailed on for this race for 12 months. He’s a pure 2 miler, who has come up the hill to win at the festival already. His prep is not ideal but he is simply a superior, more developed, proven class animal than the pretenders coming and going on this thread. Step up Moon Racer.
I think hes in with a chance of course but the prep is not ideal, previous trends are seriously against him winning this, its a race i have had a little on here and there, ill probably pitch in on an outsider on the day for a place, its as poor a supreme as is a champion hurdle this year…
Should be an interesting watch that being said

Happy to retract my statement regarding jezki!!! Haha neither will win this!
Still fancy jezki to come in here and send yanworth to the stayers
Has 0 chance of winning this
Excellent viewing, injecting A bit of fun into the sometimes “too serious” approach racing presenters have….cant watch RUK outwith the actual races for that reason.
Airlie Beach nice and strong in the betting today, a sea of blue on oddschecker…
Good news, lets hope lets dance goes elsewhere
When Let’s Dance won the Grade 2 novice hurdle at Leopardstown last month, it opened up the possibility of her triggering a €50,000 bonus offered by the race sponsors should she go on to win at Cheltenham.
I think it’s brilliant, and well done to Nathaniel Lacy and Partners Solicitors. It’s unusual because the €50,000 goes to the stable staff should Let’s Dance do the business next month, so let’s hope for Nathaniel Lacy and the stable staff that she can win one.
It does make it more interesting that’s for sure, and the pressure is on to find the right race for her! Maybe we should give the stable staff down in Willie’s a vote, they’ll be keen to pick the right one.
She’s in good form and is rated 147 now, so with a 7lb allowance in any of those open races like the Neptune or the Albert Bartlett, it would make her very competitive.
The New Course at Cheltenham, on which the racing on the Thursday and Friday of the festival takes place, would suit her and so she has plenty of options. I would say at this stage the Dawn Run mares novice race on the Thursday of the festival looks the most likely race for her in my view.
It’s my best guess that it’s the race she has best chance in – and I hope the stable staff down in Willie’s agree! We have not finalised anything yet however.
I don’t think this choice of race needs analysing too much because Mullins will always choose the easiest option.
Who wins?
Dont see the point in running airlie and lets dance either would win it, but i guess there different owners, neptune looks a better option for lets dance personally, hope they go that route
Isn’t it a bit of a sad indictment of the jumps game that people are discussing a hypothetical match up at next year’s Cheltenham?
Why aren’t there races before then prestigious enough to attract both horses?
This race is this fest
I have been really keen on airlie beCh for this but it would worry me if lets dance turned up, there form ties in closely with shattered love both beating her but when you take into account first runs of the season etc, its really close
Wouldnt be surprised to see airlie turn up in the supreme though… arguably would have the strongest form going into it, i taken a few £ at 200-300s for it just incase
Sure did, but he mentioned in his blog today that the 50k bonus for stable staff theyd try and make sure she was placed in the race where she would have th best chance of winning, although capable of winning the AB or neptune, she has airlie beach to beat in the mares novice, probably guaranteed to be in the first two in this race whereas the other two would be slightly tougher
He mentioned AB or neptune but then seemed to squash tbat by saying mares novice
Have a read
Ricci seemed keen in his blog lets dance will turn up here, would be close between her and airlie if she did i think
I think its harsh to say douvan hasnt shown as much as altior, all you can do is win and win he has,
Also dont think you can say sizing john Was running over the wrong trip, he would be a MULTIPLE grade 1/2 winner at 2m if it wasnt for douvan, he wouldnt even have ran the other day…. i think its more credit to douvan that hes stepped up in trip and won rather than detrimental to douvan saying SJ was running at wrong trip
altior looks some prospect though
Dont think theyll step douvan up in trip
Went through this race a little last night…of the market principles, I think Bacardys looks most interesting. Willing to give Invitation Only another chance, but Bacardys winning over 2 miles, with that consistent solid bumper form, bodes well IMO. The 3rd from his maiden win LTO has won since and the 2nd runs today at Punchestown. I’d expect him to win.
Did I back him today? Did I!?! Did I!?!?!?!
Anyway, none of that will win. That was all rubbish. Very disappointing in particular from Saturnas.
Finian’s Oscar did what was expected at Exeter. Had a chance to dog it at the end but found plenty.
Agree, rubbish
Although they said on ATR that bapaume is better on soft i thought the opposite, i thought hed be Better suited to more decent ground
Dinaria did well to get 3rd there
Meri devie isnt up to much
Three obrien horses were really poor over the hurdles
Defi/charlie will win this
