Lovely run by la bague au roi there
I was really taken with her performance and would expect she’s done enough to be put away for the winter.

I’m on la bague au roi at 20/1
    And augusta kate at 10/1

Have just added the nipper at 20/1 as her form ties in perfectly with the other 2. She’s expected to be out mid December and hopefully she’s matured over the summer. Because she has all the talent needed, she just needs to put it all together mentally.

I initially thought that and she does have alot to learn, however after watching the Warren greatrex feature on atr and watching the race back a few times I actually agree with Warren greatrex.
Before the race she had been schooling over hurdles aparrently for this season and if you re watch the race it actually makes sense,
nina lined her up to go to run towards the rail at the point where the rail came out further approaching the bend and rather than running out or jinking right. I believe that she tried to jump the rail as she thought that’s what she was being asked to do.

    There seems to be 4 mares that stick out for Willie Mullins in the Mares Novice Hurdle division;

Airlie Beach; 6/6 over hurdles including a Grade 1 win against Saturnas and Penhill
Augusta Kate; 1/1 over hurdles that was over 3 miles (could go Albert Bartlett)
    Let’s Dance; 2/2 over hurdles this season running 2 mile 2 f and 2 mile 4 f
Asthuria; one win and one fall from 2 starts

Lets Dance could be good enough for The Neptune and Augusta Kate may go to The Albert Bartlett. Airlie Beach looks a great horse and could probably go to The Supreme but I think this is the only race she has an entire in and she is the 10/3 fav as of now. Given that this is 2m 1F I can see Willie leaving this to Airlie Beach and Asthuria

What is your selection for this race? There may be a new favourite later today as Asthuria and Pravalaguna are set to face each other today at Fairyhouse with Ruby riding Pravalaguna currently available at 14/1 for the Mares Novice race at Cheltenham.

Airlie beach wins this, im hoping for a big run from pravalaguna so she will drift slightly, 3/1 is a bargain on what shes done

    My banker for the festival

Poor showing from pravalaguna, dont think shattered love or asthuria will trouble airlie beach either, ricci saying lets dance will step up, aslong as she shows up airlie beach wins this, 3/1 nrnb, great price

On Airlie Beach for this after her win last time out in the Royal Bond. Very impressive the way she pulled clear at the end.

Just got to turn up to win….hopefully :yahoo:

    I should of cashed out.

camelia de cotte wont win this either after todays perfomance, airlie beach price nrnb is looking better by the day, had a small bit on kayf grace as im keen on her, doubt she can match airlie though, lets dance seems almost certain to go elsewere, airlies to lose aslong as she dosent turn up in the supreme (nrnb at 3/1, yes please)

Airlie Beach is the banker of the festival (of those not odds on) if she pitches up here IMO

In his interview in the winners enclosure after her last race he said Neptune or Albert Bartlett

Sure did, but he mentioned in his blog today that the 50k bonus for stable staff theyd try and make sure she was placed in the race where she would have th best chance of winning, although capable of winning the AB or neptune, she has airlie beach to beat in the mares novice, probably guaranteed to be in the first two in this race whereas the other two would be slightly tougher

He mentioned AB or neptune but then seemed to squash tbat by saying mares novice

    Have a read

When Let’s Dance won the Grade 2 novice hurdle at Leopardstown last month, it opened up the possibility of her triggering a €50,000 bonus offered by the race sponsors should she go on to win at Cheltenham.

I think it’s brilliant, and well done to Nathaniel Lacy and Partners Solicitors. It’s unusual because the €50,000 goes to the stable staff should Let’s Dance do the business next month, so let’s hope for Nathaniel Lacy and the stable staff that she can win one.

It does make it more interesting that’s for sure, and the pressure is on to find the right race for her! Maybe we should give the stable staff down in Willie’s a vote, they’ll be keen to pick the right one.

She’s in good form and is rated 147 now, so with a 7lb allowance in any of those open races like the Neptune or the Albert Bartlett, it would make her very competitive.

The New Course at Cheltenham, on which the racing on the Thursday and Friday of the festival takes place, would suit her and so she has plenty of options. I would say at this stage the Dawn Run mares novice race on the Thursday of the festival looks the most likely race for her in my view.

It’s my best guess that it’s the race she has best chance in – and I hope the stable staff down in Willie’s agree! We have not finalised anything yet however.
