Amelia earheart showed plenty of speed at chester and stays. Having handled chester id say shes a worthy favourite. K sarra the one id take out of the musidora. Was really getting the hang of things the further she went.

Mickeyjp, I backed K Sarra at 25s after the race, then Rossa Ryan seemed to hint that Ascot may be the choice. Hope he’s wrong.

The Beckett filly being backed before Saturday is Golden Orbit and I’ve had a little ew at the current 28-1 and better. If she’s his preferred option after the weekend I’ll be happy.

Worst oaks of all time by a distance, this is barely a group 2, makes it a decent betting field imo, fav is rotten

We won’t know how good or bad it is until its run. Minnie Hauk was rated 100 going into it and the first 3 favs this year are higher than that going into it. And I will be hoping you’re wrong about the fav ;o)

Not a fan of these Derby and Oaks hopefuls wearing headgear personally, and Amelia needs double the gear so I think she’s very beatable and probably nothing special in historic terms at least but equally the mafia have half the runners again and will do what they want to try and get her home in front probably.

Cameo is the only horse to beat the horse I put up on the opening post so she’ll do for me.. :rose:

Has he really half the runners? Has he more than the other trainers here in the Oaks race? Lazy research based on bias unfortunately. The amount of saltiness towards his runners baffles me, nothing to stop other owners putting up the cash and entering more horses, like Ralph has done this year. You do get black type for placing in these races you know, which is important, especially in Fillies graded races.

Was going to go Venetian Lace in this but since there has been significant rainfall and the going is now Good/Soft taking a chance on…

    Legacy Link – 7/2 – WIN

She’ll handle the conditions and more likely to get the extra distance. :good:

    Venetian Lace 12-1 e/w

Note that Hills are offering 1/4 the odds on e/w betting, even though 14s is available elsewhere but only at 1/5. (I’ve also taken some of the 14s win only).

Very impressive winner. Okay, it didn’t look a great race but the first two have pulled well clear of the rest and the winner could be a very good filly indeed.
