Hopefully today gets a few lbs off his back, most of his wins have come in the mid to high 120s and he was 131 today.
The handicapper will keep it the same or put it up. They won’t give him a chance. Ran very well but became one paced with the grey turning it into a dash by going away. Sam Brown was the one to watch staying on and was far enough back to go down a few pounds. Sam TD forgot to ask the fav to take off and that might still have been in the frame had it stayed up.
Nice bit of manoevuring from the jockey on the winner Forward Plan. Honeyball is getting good at winning these Saturday races while not having his head up his ass about Cheltenham like lots of others.
.
Does the starter “call the roll” any more ?
I remember watching that and was so impressed with the jockey, Hugh Morgan, he just doesn’t seem to be riding much at all now, less than 40 this last season.
Off topic but De Bromhead who he is attached to just doesn’t get the quantity of winners with moderate horses that a lot of trainers do. Mikey O’Connor appears to be the 3 pound claimer more used too.
On topic though Kielan Woods asks him the question we were all thinking in this video :PMSL: https://x.com/MichelNolan1/status/1744005461924335636?s=20
I laid that winner

I do think this was equal.
Sean Houlihan who is more usually connected with Phillip Hobbs or Sheila Lewis rides an Anthony Honeyball horse SARSEN at Wincanton, I don’t recall him riding for Anthony before, the stable jockeys are at Fontwell and Sam TD who gets the quality rides with Aidan Coleman injured is at Kempton, he’s a handsome horse for Elite Racing who moved from Alan King, resumee here https://www.elitesyndicates.co.uk/Home/ShareInfo/?PID=ehobfclmcuzzmseloyzffstootmuttthaoakhotf not without a chance at 14/1
For some reason or other Kim Bailey used to refer to him as “Naughty Norman” around the same time broke up with wife Tracy……….
There was brief mention of this weeks “barstewards” podcast at 30 mins or so. 4 complaints from former stable staff.
And the Icy amadán reminding us of this on twitter https://twitter.com/icyestretro/status/1722714038692454719?t=FpBUNA9Nl2RdduyjXO8x7w&s=19

There’s a pile on going on on Twitter mentioning indiscretions similar to Johnny Farrelly’s ?
Could they not have afforded more than 2 cameras in yesterdays Sefton ? Whatever happened to the days of the bloke on the roof of the Citroen hatchback holding on for dear life rather than every fence from the Melling Road to the Canal turn being shown from one camera at the Canal turn ?
Poor Kauto the King went horribly lame behind on the run up to the second last yesterday at Exeter, RTV showed the replay (urgh) and nearly a second time until one of the presenters shouted at the producer to stop the tape but thankfully the outcome was better than expected, noted on twitter as retired. https://twitter.com/DansDailyTips/status/1712476242522538307
And the horse that “slipped over in the horsebocks” changes stables and gets gambled on at early prices, drifts on course and hoses up in Sedgefield with a rider of dubious repute on board….
