If Williams doesn’t get a run for Kitty’s Light in the Aintree Grand National, then I suspect he’ll be eyeing up another Scottish National / Bet365 double. So although Liverpool is the number 1 target, number 2 and 3 aren’t bad compensation. Also had more important things on his mind that has no doubt put things into perspective.
Value Is EverythingFebruary 22, 2024 at 16:48 #1682085Ground has gone against Kitty’s Light. He’s entered in the Ultima, but I suspect he’ll get an entry in the Premier Chase at Kelso.
Cap Du Nord and Killer Kane will be my two in this.
February 22, 2024 at 17:19 #1682086Ginger, I was wandering what you meant and have now just read about his daughter. Horrible news.
I have a younger cousin who went through similar when she was the same age and it was awful for the family. Thankfully, she made a full recovery and I wish the same for Christian’s daughter.February 22, 2024 at 17:45 #1682092After Lord Baddesley being on the early shortlist, I’ve ended up with Il Ridoto.
Still think Baddesley has a huge chance, and the odds still fair, but just really taken with Il Ridoto at Cheltenham. Solo was probably my main fancy of the three I considered Antepost, so hopefully a good sign that the stable are favouring Ridoto
Il Ridoto 9’s
February 23, 2024 at 18:38 #1682275Lord Baddesley for me. Strong fancy.
February 23, 2024 at 20:03 #1682288Killer Kane for me , c and d form and while he’s been a bit disappointing recently his Topham 3rd proves he’s more than capable on a going day
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
February 24, 2024 at 09:55 #1682374It is a big price pot, but is doesn’t look a overly strong renewal. Il Ridoto is a Cheltenham horse and has faced much stronger competition there. Surely he must have a big chance here. He is stepping up in trip, but If you can stay on at 2m5f at the new course at Cheltenham, then this should be possible.
]Il Ridoto 8/1
February 24, 2024 at 10:05 #1682380Tweed Skirt for me 2 from 2 here.
The more I know the less I understand.
February 24, 2024 at 10:31 #1682384Killer Kane – he’s followed last years path to this race almost to a tee but I have a hunch because they gave him wind surgery he wouldn’t have been as straight in his prep run over course and distance last time (which he won last year) and the prize for that is only 12K whereas this is 85K. He’s never really gone well after a break so it was encouraging he ran so well and I think they’ve prepped for this in that. Ran pretty well in this last year when he was 4lbs out of the handicap, comfortably gets into the weights this year.
Its a good race to be fair I’ve got a lot of time for the front two in the market and Flegmatik probably should have won this last year but for taking the last two fences with him, possibly not so well suited this year with the ground going soft.
February 24, 2024 at 14:22 #1682427I’ve taken Lord Baddsley here at 8-1, and I’ve resisted the temptation to bet 2
February 24, 2024 at 15:45 #1682453Tweed Skirt now the 6th of Henderson’s last 9 runners to be pulled up.
EDIT:
Actually, just seen his other runner Walking On Air has Pulled Up in the 3:08 at Chepstow.7 of last 10.
Value Is EverythingFebruary 24, 2024 at 16:14 #1682460He didn’t seem confident in Tweed Skirt, note to self must do more research

The more I know the less I understand.
February 24, 2024 at 17:29 #1682476Nice bit of manoevuring from the jockey on the winner Forward Plan. Honeyball is getting good at winning these Saturday races while not having his head up his ass about Cheltenham like lots of others.
February 24, 2024 at 20:01 #1682499Just noticed a few put up killer kane today
A tracker horse of mine
Don’t give up on him
I only ever back him when the ground is gd or gd to soft
He doesn’t get home over 3 miles on anything softer.
Hopefully today gets a few lbs off his back, most of his wins have come in the mid to high 120s and he was 131 today.

The handicapper will keep it the same or put it up. They won’t give him a chance. Ran very well but became one paced with the grey turning it into a dash by going away. Sam Brown was the one to watch staying on and was far enough back to go down a few pounds. Sam TD forgot to ask the fav to take off and that might still have been in the frame had it stayed up.
