well grasshopper as someone who loves watching high class flat racing i used to hate jump racing with the same feeling you have for the flat, watching slow old horses slogging through the mud in dreadfull races, but i have mellowed and now look forward to the top national hunt meetings,so i guess we can all change and it as i suspect we live a few hundred yards from one and other,we certainly would find plenty to argue about if we met.

at least it proves he is human and is a good judge, enjoyed tom segals remark that if dubai was in his garden he would not open the curtain.

without wishing to get into the thommo debate i cant help myself, the fact that he has been around for however long it is is a sad indictment of the people that employ him rather than himself,i can just about tolerate him on c4 but his race commentary is awful,i counted the words (and here comes) at least 20times at the end of the races he was commentating on, change the record thommo please.

dont know if big mac was having us on but it seems his home was burgled and if anyone has had that done, they will realise how upsetting it is, and all they did was laugh, and cutting him dead on sp issue was out of order,i am not a big mac fan but he does shout for the punter, and he does a lot for retired racehorses

no, no question he will get good rides and it will be great to see him back in action but sadly k fallon is far to unpredictable in his personal life to make him a bet to be champion jockey

richard hoiles and simon holt are very good imo, aussie jim may have been good at one time personnaly i find him quite poor now and i have lost count of the number of times thommo says( and hear comes ) at the end of a race absolutely dreadful, however to be fair it is a difficult and responsible job.

interesting comments about the morning line it does seem so predictable now, problem is it is a program on a subject i love that is horse racing,so i cant help myself i just so wish big mac would stop talking about the email female as though she is the second coming as far as tipping winners is concerned, anyone who knows about racing knows harchibald is top class when he runs to form,so she guessed right big deal,do wish they would go back to 9oclock start though you would have a much better idea if a meeting goes ahead or not.

lets face it sam thomas is a most competent jockey who is going through a period where things are simply not going well, and despite the way PN talks his horses up stable confidence cannot be high and that reflects right down to the jockey,it would be good if ST could get a couple of winners from an outside stable to get him back on a high, and i dont think it would do any harm to get AP to ride for the stable to get the confidence going again, one thing is for certain ST should not get the blame.

Idont know what anyone else finds on the forum but for me there is nothing worse than hearing some bampot in a bookies shouting fall you b……d when a horse approaches a fence,i have stood next to many a fence when the horses fly over, and it frightens the s…t out of me,these guys deserve every penny,i would not have the guts to do it as a job.
