I quite agree they are at least trying something, they really do need a morning studio program covering the major meetings fronted by l hislop who has the right tv manner,i am sure it would be better than the morning line which was dreadful on saturday apart from simon holt and hayley turner, the rest were pathetic which i suppose was in line with saturdays racing.

RIP exotic dancer its always sad to see these warriors die more so when they are well known, they always seem to go that stride quicker at liverpool,,dont think its the ground seems to have been heavily watered according to times.

I backed spectait with prime defender and greylami cost me over 500pound so am feeling a bit miffed just have to be happy with 100 or so, it is a bit galling the horse reared just before stalls opened not as though he just stood there a well never mind, not too bad a start to flat.

I find newspapers in general have very little interest in racing my local paper the edinburgh evening news recently stopped the last edition to save money
so now they put the undeclared cards in at lunchtime utterly pointless as you have no idea what is going to be running when i complained was told racing played little part in sales of paper.

The three books that have fashioned my way of backing horses are Come fly with the butterfly who i gave to a friend and never saw it or him again,Stewart simpson always back winners, and Alex birds biography, three great books on betting.

what possible pleasure can you get backing horses if you are backing another persons tips, most tipsters are only passing on tips they get from another source, you only feel let down when they get beat as they usually do,so i stick to the evidence of my own eyes that way i have only myself to blaim.

probably like most people here i love horse racing although my first love is flat racing, the best races that come to mind strangely enough are the titanic battles of arkle and mill house, then horses like brigadier gerard and mill reef converted me to the flat, but any class racing on both codes should get horse racing fans pulses going.

I originally subscribed to ruk and would be happy with that, do not watch the other stuff on setanta still these companys seem to think the world revolves around bloody football just like the get on section of atr.

ruk always give the impression of being much more professional than atr however if you are into irish racing then atr will be your bag,but i do think for a subscription channel ruk really should be giving punters something like the morning line or sunday forum at least for big meetings.

i find it very difficult to accept this theory if mdb had not been in the race denman would have been thought to be back to something like his best, you cant possibly know what would have happened, you have to go on what you see and make a judgement, and p nicholls was imo disappointed he had denman fit enough to win and he did not whether he will come and win at cheltenham if he runs, who knows but on the evidence of what i saw i will not be backing him.

could be wrong but i detected a slightly disappointed tone in p nicolls post race comment to ruk yesterday he kept saying he would have to improve, then said he could not get him much fitter, lets just hope the horse is alright.
