535 – Fabricate (Aloft)Time Test, very nice. easy. More money will come piling in for that Dissolution now.
I cant see Free Eagle being any sort of decent price in his next race after that. Good training performance yes, but you have to be a pretty special horse to win a group 1 after so long without having a race. He must have been 85% fit at the most, no matter how much work had gone in to him.
Obviously, TGG was unlucky, but still…….special horse.Time Test had a very eye catching turn of foot, but those in behind look dubious. Dissolution contesting class 2 12f 535 tomorrow, Dutch Uncle more than 5 lengths behind Stravagante next time.
Azraff dropping down to a listed mile tomorrow. If you put Peacock and Disegno in that same race I believe they would have won just as comfortably.
The difference here is Time Test is 9/4 and the other two offer each way value. I couldn’t tell you the winner though, it should be a cracker.230 – Log Out Island & King Of Rooks (Zebstar)

Oh I see, I thought RP would have had that information. That definitely puts me off this horse then.
It’s hard to weigh up Finnegan at all as no horse he has come up against has another race to their name. Its a good thing that he won on turf last time.
He lost first time out though and in the last 9 years no horse has won this race after losing previously.
I cant decide between Round Two and Air Force Blue just yet, but something is nagging at me to trust in the Bolger horse. The wide draw is a hindrance, so I wouldn’t be confident of any outsiders having a good chance, but its a different scenario when you have the favourite out there.
I don’t know the differences between this course and Longchamp, but Ervedya won the 1000 guineas from a very wide draw with a lovely ride, but probably would have won by 3 or more lengths if drawn better. As for tactics, getting to the front quickly from that draw is risky as she will need to be pushed hard and fast to get there which may not leave much in the engine for the latter stages.
Queens Jewel looks pretty smart and there isn’t much in the field that screams out to me apart from Malabar.
I think I’ll have a wager at around 12-14/1 as she has been running on well in group 1 races over a mile and this could be a good way to introduce her to the extended 10f.
Drawn 14, so Hughsie will have his work cut out to get a good position.
Good Luck!Sandown 220 – Master The World
Sandown 255 – Likely (NAP)
Musselburgh 325 – Online AlexanderReserve:
Sandown 145 – Awesome PowerMaurice and Dex, looking at the comments on his running he has won almost completely un extended in some of his group 1’s. If he is sound and the ground is fine I believe he is the winner here.
It’s my only ante post NAP of the week and his price is huge at 5/2.I reckon the form of Mizzou and Vert De Grace stands up well for this race as unexposed stayers. As for the top 2 in the betting, Forgotten Rules looks slightly opposable on quick ground (if it is) and Brown Panther just doesn’t get this trip well enough.
This race is looking tasty. excited much yet?Haydock 340 – EDIT!!!
my bad, I watched the Bev race afterwards.
Beverley 330 – Express Himself
I just wanted to highlight a brilliant ride from the man once again. If anyone gets a chance to watch this race, then watch it.
The horse was easy to back as it didn’t look a clever field for the level, but he gave away 5 lengths at the start and from then on Ryan Moore had to make important decisions.
He rousted him to get a little closer, but didn’t force himself straight into the pack and then crept up on the inside weaving a passage before ultimately sticking his head in front.I’m not going to over-indulge on the performance because if it was a bigger field I don’t think he would have been given the chance for an inside run.
The horse was clearly head and shoulders above the opposition as well, but still what a fantastic ride.- AuthorPosts
