Fun race to have a go at. Lord Byron yet to win but ran a nice race behind Maestro Conti in a grade 2 at Chelters. Just in behind LB was La Luna Artista who really boosted that form when winning the Adonis last week. Only issue is we are looking at 4 year old only events so the bare form may not be enough in this novice company.
Quite surprised Dartmoor Pirate was still as high as 6/1 for this so have to back him here. Looked like he wanted further last time, especially earlier in the race but came through powerfully to win anyway.
Hamlet’s Night 6/1
Winner on the flat last time in a pipe opener for this. Probably ran better than expected. Last race on the NH was a close 2nd to Rubaud who has more than held his own in better races since.
Weight is a bit harsh on Twinjets but I like him enough at 7/2, I just hope the forecast light rain doesn’t turn into anything substantial.
I don’t dislike Vincenzo but his win last time I thought was in an average race for the grade and runner up ‘Bad’ only ran OK next time at a track he loves.Kelso

To be fair they have communicated really well this week. There wasn’t anything significant on the radar after Storm Chandra and the track was raceable Wednesday. There was every reason to be optimistic. Then this other system pops up and they warned the public any significant rainfall would be a sting in the tail.
The problem is that it wasn’t definitely going to hit them, it was a twirly whirly weather platter skirting the edge of Ireland and buggering off again.
The track was raceable again Friday afternoon, it would be very silly to abandon Saturday at that point and then only get a mil or two overnight.Leopardstown
