I’ll do the Irish courses and also analyse the figures in more detail when I get a chance.
Cav
Considering Fair Along only got beaten 5 lengths in the Triumph Hurdle by Detroit City I’ve had a few quid quid on him at 360/1 for the Champion Hurdle. He’s only 4 years old and made an encouraging reappearance at Cheltenham a few weeks ago. Just a fun bet but might be a big price if he runs in the race next March.
On second thoughts its probably better not to advertise that fact on here, all I will say is that it is possible to access BF in the States with software that can be downloaded from the internet and I’m definatley not Bill Gates.
Im back home in Ireland now TG. I did find a way to use the exchanges in New York after all with some software I was able to download. You can PM me and I’ll let you know. I still cant believe its easier to get a bet on in Qatar than Manhattan.
Well I’ve placed bets with the exchanges while in Egypt, Syria, Morrocco, the Gulf countries, Nepal for Gods sake! but cant do it in in Manhatten New York…
Thanks, yes the beeb is very slow but its their concept that I like where everything is on one page, would be great to have a quickly updated site of a similar format that included the winning trainer.
sporting life is a good site but the fast results disappear when they up as full results, which is highly annoying, the bbc fast results are the best i’ve found but they dont include the winning trainer, any more suggestions?
Thanks, clears that up for me.
Lavelle’s novice hurdlers wont be trying till the new year, same as every other year. Back them after Christmas!
Ruby Walsh looked very happy and sounded bullish about KS in the post race interview and he’s definately not one given to overstatement.
On another note I really enjoyed the Beebs coverage of Aintree this afternoon. Norman Williamson is doing a great job and having McCoys comments in running was a real bonus. Also some of the close up shots were superb. All they need now is a commentator!
Stav has starting posting on another board a few days ago. He posted some excellant analysis of the York meeting last Friday. Sadly missed on here IMHO.
A D Brown and R E Barr have also been quite superb this year
Not saying anyone of those stables are laying.
Micky Hammond and Peter Webber can go on the list as well
With more fancied runners..
John Joe, Tim Easterby, Milton Bradley and Ed Dunlop have all had horrific 2006’s so far. Makes me wonder if they’ve all become mainly laying stables.<br>
Thanks Sal, that really is very insightful.
I’m trying to guage the relationship between racecourse performance to stud value in pattern class horses. I’ve long concentrated on better class racing with my NH betting and I intend to do likewise with the flat from next season.
If there are any sites or boards with more info on this topic please pm me.
Thanks again
Thanks Sal that does help and I do appreciate it is impossible to have any definative figures for this kind of thing.
Would you have a link to your post on the factors involved in setting stallion fees?
Many thanks
