As a punter I would much rather him onside that against me. However, my issue is the suggestion he is one of the great jockeys – to my mind he is no Piggott, Cauthen
After 40 yrs. of watching and enjoying this great sport Steve Cauthen still remains my favourite ever jockey.
I cannot ever remember him being blamed for a bad ride and what a gentleman also, Sir Henry sending out horses for Sheik Mohammed in those old maroon and white silks…., I’m going to youtube now to see Oh So Sharp and Diminuedo.I loved the last bit ‘The vast majority of punters are unaffected…..’, yeah that’s us that lose more than we win.
They’re the enemy, always were and always will be.Took over the stables that Dick Hern once governed and such a nice, humble guy as is his son.
I was at Stratford one night when he had one of his selling hurdlers being bid and the language he launched at those bidding against was brilliant but he really has made the most of his talent from humble beginnings. My thoughts are thank god no jockey or horse was killed in a massive pile up, never seen anything like this before but the lads in the box overlooking it all over their gin and sherry have to abide by the official jockey club rules I guess.
It would have been interesting and harder for them if the winner had won by a much less distance.I’ve never liked his surly attitude but he is certainly following in David Beckham’s footsteps to the point of becoming an embarrassment with that William Hill ad, maybe his bank a/c. is a bit light.
I just love the way the Tizzard family are handling a brilliant year and their owners buy into it with staying loyal to different jockeys, so nice to see and if ever I was lucky enough to own a horse then I know where I would like it.
Last Saturday the coverage from Meydan was delivered by the ever pouting Emma and it looked to me like the Zika virus has bypassed Europe and hit Dubai.

So she’s not going to qualify for the Topham then ?

Blue: I’m sorry to hear that. I was poorly treated by a bookie’s CS team last week so I know how you feel. I can only apologise
Not your fault personally but there is a lot of work to be done there behind Simon Clare’s smile.
Another incident was 2 months ago I was ticketed in my letterbox for an unpaid letter and requested to pay £2 for the delivery, I paid and found it to be another promotion from Coral with unpaid postage so shambles again.
I’ll still bet with them IF their odds are better but for a top firm it needs serious attention.Mr. Pickle, it’s not just Corals website but read my post above, your phone operation needs serious attention also.
He obviously needs the promotional money just like Ruby Walsh from the pitiful RUK , shameless stuff from those too greedy to refuse.
I subscribe to RUK but I think today was the last straw and I’m seriously thinking of cancelling, tuned in to watch the Carlisle meeting and they spent as much time ‘letting us all enjoy again’ the Cheltenham festival.
Now I’m pretty sure that all racing enthusiasts would be clever enough if they had not been able to watch live on TV then to record the highlights each evening but obviously RUK found a great opportunity to fill time on today by yet another repeat of repeats, woeful but more fool me for subscribing. They seriously annoyed me too on the Cheltenham offer, I received a promotion leaflet stating if a £20 was staked before racing then a same amount free bet was available for the following day…,no promotion code of course so after a 10 minute wrangle with a similar clueless staff member I got on the for the first day and tried the same the second day and again another operator had no idea what I was requesting so I hung up and bet elsewhere.
If only they had a promotional code number I could quote but I guess that’s asking too much eh ?Nothing personal but I feel shadenfraade with her runners now because she brings over top Irish jockeys to ride her jorses when there are many home based lads just as good and she thinks she’s different class.
Maybe I’m being cruel but she is no top trainer except maybe in her own head.betlargeParticipant

Ha ha, it’s a good gig if you can land on a job like that.
“There’s been a move..err..a move for that one..err..you know..in from 7-1 to 13-2..err..it’s certainly a lively market..err..you know…exchanges..the punters are ahead..errm..back to you Lydia..”
I often wonder how I ever managed without him.
MikeFatalities are always awful but No More Heroes has me devastated, I rarely bet on horses but saw this horse as in a different league potentially, he jumped brilliantly and still finished 3rd. with a fatal injury, so sad.
