River Wylde ran at Cheltenham pulling so hard he took most hurdles with his head cocked so much was De Boinville trying to hold him together and given his mistake at the last it was a very good effort, he is my bet of the meeting as the flat track (Kempton he won well) will be much more in his favour providing he settles just a little.
To me River Wylde didn’t get up the hill. Splattering the final flight didn’t help but he seemed to be running out of petrol anyway.
I backed him also Steve and with the strong hold he took and almost being restrained at quite a few hurdles that he took with head to one side i think he ran a blinder, if this horse can settle then he will be a really top notcher.
I had it in my favs. and every day i log in i get either the old ( what fix what ain’t broke ?) or the new which takes twice the time to get what i want and i did their survey telling them in my opinion the old format was very good and the new for me, sluggish and regressive.
Not sure why every time i log in i get either the good and or bad but thanks to aaron above i will just go straight to the old format.Seems like they have taken the criticism on board and it’s back to the good way it was before they messed it up.
Don’t like this new format at all, just filled in their survey to let them know of the regression and yet again if it ain’t broke ?
They have stuffed too much content from the outset to navigate where once was simple, not impressed.Ths in’t a spelin forrum, Blu.
He he.
Good job you’re not into spelling quizzes Ginge.
If Thistlecrack beats Cue Card narrowly tomorrow and CC goes and wins the Gold Cup i can foresee a punch up in the car park when the respective owners next meet as CC is on a £1m bonus if he bags the next 2 and that’s why i’m not betting in the KG as i think Colin Tizzard is on a win/lose here whatever happens.
VTC, thanks for that and your memory is so much better than mine and what a ride that was that day to stick with my poor memory and no, i never had money on it, ha ha.
I remember him riding a superb chase winner at Ascot over 10 yrs. ago having lost his irons way out and i was at Leicester races the following week and remember racegoers just shouting nice words at him when he came out to ride.
I cannot google it but hopefully some forum member with memory retention better than me can and the race at Ascot i refer to was a pregious one, not run of the mill.Have you missed out the word “Jonjo”?
Since Lynda Ramdsen retired i cannot think of a better way to make your point Ginge.
I remember the old adage ‘ There are bold punters and there are old punters but there are no old, bold punters’.
Brilliant Viltash, but seriously i’d like to see it given when a horse has had a wind op. notice to us public as that often happens as an explanation we are totally not aware of when one romps in.
He wasn’t in the ownership of JP when he
transferred to Harry Fry, he was only bought by JP last month. A shrewd buy after his win today and an
exciting prospect for the World Hurdle. He’s best priced 6/1 nowOh, tks for that Big G as i thought JP bought him out of the Nelmes stable and i looked to see what he saw that wasn’t obvious and now this beauty is on the march to great things hopefully.
I’ve just been checking back on ‘Harry’s form and when with Helen Nelmes the form was not inspiring to say the least then bought by JPM and switched to Harry Fry then 1st. run goes off 7/2 fav. at Cheltenham winning cosily ?
Since then unbeaten and into a top horse ?, what on earth was there there to see JPM aquire the horse and immediatly transform it into a world hurdle prospect ?, cracking horse and i wish it well but although we see horses change stables and ability, this has to rank way up there and beyond what i can remember.I never rated Bass when he was at Nicky Hendersons yard but as soon as Jason Mcguire stopped riding Kim Bailey snapped him up as first jockey and as a top trainer he must see something but there’s many others i’d sooner have carrying my hopes.
Geraghty could carry my money on any horse, i really rate him up there with the best around but it’s all opinions.Tony Martin, Sir Mark Prescott, Jack and Lynda Ramsden, Mark Johnston and it’s spot the odd one out time…………, yes one of them wrote a book.
