No excuse for not making the quiz Ginge.
I’ve had a terrible flu/cold thingy myself but I’ve still got to get my lads lunch box prepared and get him to school whilst holding down a job and doing all the housework/daily chores and checking my father is okay.
And you have the audacity to suggest some on here don’t know how to read form, it’s okay if some have the time.

First time I’ve missed it in 14 years, loved to have been there. But would all those at the quiz have appreciated my coughing bouts as the questions were read out; sneezing and blowing my nose when we’re crowded together? Had to make an early decision so they could get someone else. Glad they got Nicky to do it, I may not get in the team in future. Sometimes got to follow your lead and think of others, Nathan.

Most TRFers are not good enough at reading form to make an overall profit; that’s the uncomfortable truth. I don’t see why you find it so controversial? Doesn’t mean they can’t read a particular race’s form correctly… And yes, “time” can be one valid reason a punter can’t read form consistently well. Over the past few months I haven’t been good enough either, unfortunately I don’t have any excuses. :-(

Well done to Craig Thake, Lee Motershead and the rest of the Racing Post team for winning this year.

Used to take part in that for the CTCRC when it was held at Newbury Racecourse, good craic but the odd “cheater”, noticed a guy on the next table reading our answers one evening so as we had a spare answer sheet so we deliberately wrote down false answers and held it where he coud see them.
Do they still do two levels, one where you have to get the answer unaided and the other where it’s a choice from four preprinted answers ?

    CTCRC who’s that?

Yes, the tables are a bit close, DG.
Yes, they do do two levels but it’s not quite the same.
Now the beginning of the competition is totally “unaided” until around two thirds the way through. Then the top 5 teams go through to an Elite Comp (stil unaided) whilst the rest go in to a second level and get multiple choice sheets. John Francome was in the Clive Cox team that won the Second Level quiz last year.

You and Nicky would make a great double act
You could call yourself Nicky Gingersen.
If I hear Nicky saying in the up coming weeks OOSeven or Altior have been coughing and the yard have caught a bug, I will not be happy with you. Hope you know you can pass on your germs down the phone, play safe next time and send an email.
