Well done Paul, gives us all something to enjoy and i will probably back most of my chooses most of the time.
Thanks for posting this site up, i’ll hold back on the bragging till i’m in the Caribeaan drinking cocunut rum with that fat cockney dude that has lots of horses at Ballydoyle.
Hannon Jr. stated today that SL would come on for the race yesterday, fair enough and with Hot Snap winning with 3lb. also fair enough.
Certify beat SL at NMKT in a GP3 on her 2nd race, started slowly too.
Sir Henry is my hero but if Hot Snap can bounce in from yesterday in 2 1/2 weeks time on her 3rd. only run hen brilliant but Certifys’ team have had , until right now, 3 runners – 2 winners and a second.
To me it all points to Certify, unbeaten – ground not a problem so i just she wakes up on the day in a good mood.I am with Red Rum’s selection here – Planet Of Sound @ 33/1 with B365.
Lightly raced for his years, ran a nice pipe opener at Cheltenham, not knocked about and dropped 3lbs. from his National weight since.
Connections had stated the big race was their target (Daily Telegraph) but the decision to switch to the Topham with the change of mark interests me greatly.
There is more to making money these days than by coups on your own horses.
They can either lay these ‘oh so hot ones’ or whack into other horses in these races having scared the bookies into lengthening the ones they want.
Oh so very Curleyesque…..Surely sending such a large squad under circumstances raises a red flag.
Leave these 4 and look at others in the races, and i would not be surprised to see the odd runner or 2 in the events.
The betting police will be onto this for sure should ‘something’ occur.
Barney Curley has abused punters for years, me included. These lads and lasses that ply their trade whether pros or ams. are as tough as teak so to couple that up with the immediate and best treatment we can give in our hospitals gives JT the best of care.
Every day watching NH. racing we all see crunching falls and cringe, i feel sure the lad will be out next week doing what he loves, but still a nasty tumble.I backed First Lieutenant on Tuesday at 3/1, thought i had a good be then but 2 bad leaps, 1 is enough in a Grade 1.
Great to see Cue Card blow Jim Mcgrath, ( Mr Timform), he who thinks he knows it all, yet got it wrong about this horse yet again.I’m gutted, backed Tofino Bay and started dancing round my living room a little too early.
Back In Focus is as tough as nails and Mullins wasn’t lacking any assistance, great race but feeling a little ‘miffed’ is the polite way to put it.
No sentiment in betting but i think John Oaksey was a super guy so i will have 2 bets in his race – Tofino Bay and David o’Meara’s.
OK it’s a scattergun shot at Cheltenham but only liars will say when the dust settlesd it was form choosing – John Oaksey lovely man.
I reckon that ATR has the 4 best presenters of our sport by a mile.
Matt Chapman calls it like most of us do in our living rooms, nothing stops Matt from being honest, probably to his professional detriment with jockeys and trainers.
Luke Harvey and Jason Weaver do a great double act, ok a little to much light hearted at times but still fun to watch.
Last but not least Gina Bryce, not a glammed up ‘look at me’ girl
unlike Emma and Gina just has a good all round profile to be on our screen.
And also a big Brucy bonus here is that ATR if free.
KenH ^, tks. for the heads up on his appearance on ATR, i usually watch it but he will no doubt aggrevate me as usual so i’ll give today a skip.

Pine Creek for me, 130 rating and maybe not battle hardened but does everything so easy so with luck i will get a jar out of the win.
I don’t want to see ‘Posh Alistair’ again wowing us with how clever he is but really giving nothing.
Great to see him dumped in the re-vamp and i would also like to see Jim, ‘Mr.Timeform Mcgrath’ put back into his place, he clearly revels in the fact he knows his history but offers viewers nothing but condesention.
Each of us to our own opinion but i just dont like the ‘I am the one’ attitude’. – rant over.
Denis Regan for a good Cheltenham, free tip with no poncy attitude, i rest my rant.I am pleased she has joined the C4 team where she can add some knowledge to our sport, rarely does she make form errors unlike many of her fellow pundits.
Glad that big smiley creature married to Neil Graham is seemingly ditched, oh that perpetual phony grin in the morning over breakfast is hopefully a thing of the past.
Apart from her, Emma the fashionista, and posh bollox Alastair Down it seems like the C4 tv folk have it wrapped up nicely.Nah Racings Golden era was 1983-1986………

Our perception of the ‘Golden Era’ must naturally depend on our age grouping but for me the horses you quote will be with me forever along with, if i may add Diminuedo and Commanche Run.
In that era trainers and jockeys never sprang out of nowhere unlike today when many a day i do not recognize them – good thing or bad thing, i am not sure but those 80’s were for me pure quality.
On the jumps also we had Monica and Michael Dickinson clashing swords with best of the Irish each year – oh, great memories.I’ve translated this from the post race report
" At the end of the race, the Commissioners have asked for explanations and jockey Sacha Stappaerts about the performance gelding EASTERN
WARRIOR (GB). The complainant stated that she had a problem with a stirrup. Commissioners have recorded these explanations and decided to transmit the
case to the Disciplinary Committee of the Jockey Club "Surely the JC cannot be satisfied with that ?
So the stirrups were faulty ?, good job the brakes weren’t or she may have won and ‘mon dieu’, le wonga vos not in situ aujord hui.
Ivan ^, you certainly know your stuff and about the El Gran Senor derby defeat, it was one of my first ever bets and i did Secreto at 14/1. lucky me on the day but again memories of certain days.
