Would that also be the experience of anyone else who has done the same? And has it come back on for you since then? I’m merely putting it down to a few early teething troubles unless given any cause to think otherwise – maybe if it’s not back by the time I get home tonight.
I re-subscribed on Sunday afternoon with Virgin Media . When I tuned
in on Monday afternoon the message on screen said that the channel was not available because I hadn’t subscribed .I rang Virgin Media and was told to switch off from the wall and then switch on again so that he could send some signals .
Normal service was resumed immediately . When I asked for an explananation he said he didn’t know .If you were to go on 21st. August you wouldn’ t even be getting six races
to watch as the sixth and final race is an Amateur Riders’ Race . I think
any such race should be the seventh race at any racecourse .According to the Chester Racecourse website :
Summer Festival

The thrill of racing, the glamorous people and the sparkle of champagne all combine to create a great atmosphere on the first day of Chester’s Summer Festival.
You can watch for free from the City Walls. Except for the finishes you
see more of the races.According to " Horses In Training 2009 " Sheik Hamdan Bin Mohammed
Al Maktoum owns 49 of the 93 Two-Year-Olds trained by Mark Johnston. For Three-Year-Olds the same man owns 34 from 82 .
The Breast Augmentation Handicap will be won by a …. GG
Surely you’re not advocating putting a horse up for getting beaten by a Berry creature?
Surely Alan Berry doesn’t train Look Busy?
Look Busy , trained by Alan Berry , wins Temple Stakes at Haydock .

Mike Quiqley from the London Racing Club has I think over 10 accounts closed down. Click on ‘betting credentials’ at http://www.mikequiqley.co.uk
again good bragging rights but 10 accounts he cannot no longer use.Link should be :http://www.mikequigley.co.uk/index.php.
According to the " Live News " section on the Racing Post website this evening :
RACING Post columnist David Ashforth is to appear on the Danny Baker show on TalkSPORT radio station tonight, at 8.15pm to talk about last night’s BBCTV Panorama broadcast entitled Racing’s Dirty Secrets.
TalkSPORT can be found on 1089/1053am throughout the majority of the UK. However, in some areas, talkSPORT can be found on 1071 and 1107am in Nottingham and Newcastle respectively.
” Dodgy geezers ” and ” bent elements ” ? Some of them work for the
BBC .Ofcom , it was reported today , fined the BBC £ 400,000 because
“The BBC deceived its audience by faking winners of competitions and deliberately conducting competitions unfairly,” Ofcom said.
Viewers were urged to call some BBC programmes after contestants had already been chosen.
Other shows had been pre-recorded, so nobody could win apparently “live” competitions.
The full report is on the BBC website : http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7497168.stm
Perhaps the good lady is on holidays. I havent seen her on RUK for a while either.
According to the RUK website she will be the studio presenter this
Saturday and then have her fair share of spots after that .I think " RACING TRENDS : FLAT 2008 " by David Myers may be
what you are looking for as it focuses on your type of race .I browsed through it in a bookshop and it seemed very well – researched . I
did not buy it as I don’t bet in that type of race .I thought he rode No To Trident well at Doncaster last Saturday . He was
trapped behind horses on the rails in the 10 furlongs maiden race , soon
made his mind up that there was no chance going that route , worked
his way to the outside and accelerated clear , on the 33/1 shot , in so
doing boxing in Neil Callan on the favourite .He only seems to have ridden winners for David Evans so I assume he
is the trainer ‘ s sonI think ATR should get Jack Dee to read out the e-mails and then
answer them .
Oops!

Going off topic a bit I am trying to think of the filly { I think ] who was beaten
a short head in the King George V1 and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot ,
after which Julian Wilson said she didn ‘ t stay .had the front horse stayed he would have won by a very long way.
If my auntie was a man she’d be my uncle !
Staying races are there to won by horses that stay . Also Lough
gave 4lbs to Elusive Dream and 8lbs to My Way De Solzen .In a topic about Mark Johnston ‘ s 2000 th. winner , Zoso warned :

A brilliant trainer and a great man to have on your side.I will take a wild guess that all his short priced horses that got beat recently on the A/W were at Lingfield. The reason for that is that front running and Lingfield go together like chalk and cheese. Anyone backing a short Mark Johnston horse at Lingfield and then getting burnt only has themseleves to blame.
Top notch trainer who will always give you a run for your money.
Not strictly true, bimble. Throw The Dice was beaten on his first two runs for Freddie.
Smithy , I stand corrected and you have now been appointed as my
proof -reader
David Barker ran Throw The Dice 23 times without achieving a win . On
his third outing for Berry , after transferring from Barker , he won a
handicap at Hamilton .I was just trying to point out in the interests of fair play that Berry is
not as incompetent as some have made him out to be although it
seems unlikely he will equal the achievements of his father .Incidentally , Our Little Secret , the best animal in the stable , is owned
by Jack Berry .Have never rated Alan Berry as a trainer when you consider all the big races that his father trained for example having the Wokingham winner followed by the Cork and Orrey on the same day at Royal Ascot where as Alan is content with a Class5 at Wolverhampton.
Berry trained Our Little Secret to win a Listed race at Chester in 2007 .
He had 303 runners on Turf , in 2007 ,winning 19 races . On the AW he
had 44 runners but no winners .David Barker ran Throw The Dice 25 times without achieving a win . On
his first outing for Berry , after transferring from Barker , he won a handicap
at Hamilton .- AuthorPosts
