Well I could do with shifting some weight (doctor’s orders). Not quite the method I was envisaging though.
I’ll stick to walking.

Maybe…but does Kempton AW offer the all-round hat-selling retail experience that Warwick does?
What if I fancied a mid-afternoon Panama? Or a getting-out stakes Fedora?
I’m not surprised that nobody attends Kempton AW – if your head gets cold and you’ve forgotten your cap, well you’re ******.
I really wish people like you would understand the needs of the modern racegoer.
They do at Warwick:angry:

You’re so right. Why on earth didn’t they pump some of their considerable advertising cash into the markets themselves, at least for a few days/weeks.
How many visitors give such a site a second/third go when they see it so deserted?
They also mentioned that they had some major players who had ‘promised’ to provide liquidity into the system. Maybe yesterday was their day off.
I would love to see some meaningful competition to Betfair. I don’t think this is it.

Distant Thunder pulled?
Mounty will be distinctly

Juveigneur for me, but there’s some right ‘plot’ horses in the race. It has a really bizarre look about it.
Anyway, back to the cricket & Red Bull….

He’s a bookmaker who keeps his own speed figures and he hasn’t had a bet since the last King died?
Has he got OCD or something?

And this Daily Mail quote from their ‘In the Press’ section:
"WINNING jump racing’s latest betting exchange-inspired £1million bonus looks child’s play compared to the aspirations of the new company financing it."
Erm…

Much as I am loath to sing the praises of the boy Murdoch, his Sky+ box is a gift from the Gods.
Mine’s been perfectly reliable for about 3 years during which time I have given it a hammering.
It should be pointed out though that one can only record onto a fixed hard drive in the unit and not onto CD and thus it cannot really be used for building a ‘library’ of past events.
My extensive collection of northern NH Flat races going back to 1937 has been recorded onto DVD using a seperate machine. Ditto my exciting chronolgy of AW sprint banded races (9yo & upwards).

A well-balanced portfolio.
You can spend the Gilchrist one now.

Too much racing?
Racing is like Chateau Mouton-Rothschild – when it’s good it’s wonderful. And when it’s bad…well, it’s still pretty good.

Haven’t seen a ‘knock-out’ for years Mounty:biggrin: ! Good effort.
Aren’t they meant to win though?

"Blessed are the cheesemakers" (Life of Brian).
Anyway they moved him. Set your video matey, it’s going to go off big style. Just before the novice chase I reckon.
It’s not like I’m all mouth….

The Tote minimum was changed from 1.10 a few years ago following punters lumping place bets on 1-8 shots in 8/9 runner races.
But I thought that it was actually briefly then cut to 1.0 until there was a hue and cry about it.

They hold regular ‘Drunken Fight’ nights at Worcester during the summer…
