Off to Warwick tomorrow.
Having complained about this on a number of occasions, I’m hoping they will have moved the hat-seller tent that is conveniently situated directly between the grandstand and the last hurdle/fence.
The net effect of this is that the lower tier of the grandstand (i.e. about 80% of the grandstand crowd) cannot see the action from about the 2nd-last to over the last.
When this was pointed out to the management, I was informed that "they do pay a lot of money to be here". Unlike the punters of course (13/15 quid a throw). I told them they had to decide whether they were running a racecourse or a milliners. Blank stares all round.
Anyway, I’ve got my boy scout’s knife and those guy-ropes don’t look that thick. Windy tomorrow too.
I’ll keep you posted.

1) What planet are you on? No-one goes to the races to watch the actual racing. I’m surprised they still have grandstands facing the track.
2) I don’t remember you being so anti-tent when it was occupied by a cheese seller. What have you got against Henrietta Knight-style furry hats? :)

"Blessed are the cheesemakers" (Life of Brian).
Anyway they moved him. Set your video matey, it’s going to go off big style. Just before the novice chase I reckon.
It’s not like I’m all mouth….

I believe that’s a reference to all purveyors of dairy produce.
