Some mare DAR RE MI is

I think CRYSTAL OCEAN is worth a shot over 10f.
He doesn’t have a great deal of stamina on the distaff side and does his best work at the 9-10f point.
Another 2yo winner today – FEARLESS WARRIOR @Kempton. Has a Derby entry. 2yo runners coming up:
FOX TAL – Newmarket maiden / Royal Lodge
EMINENCE – Newmarket maiden / Beresford
MR SECRETARY – Beresford
STAR SAFARI – Newmarket maiden
LOCH LAGAN – Pontefract novice
VELORUM – Kempton novice / Newmarket maiden
BABA GHANOUJ – Haydock novice / Newmarket maiden
OAK PARK – Haydock noviceInteresting to learn about another racing jurisdiction
SEA OF CLASS … whooooooosh
STAR TERMS just won a 7f handicap @ Newmarket
What about SEXTANT who just won a 12f maiden for SMS?
HM just had a winner by STS – SEXTANT.
Another who turned mediocre form around was DUKE OF MARMALADE.
He was a favourite of mine. Was disappointed with the way his stud career panned out. Hope he realises his potential in South Africa.
I like what Jane Cecil did with NOBLE MISSION.
Mike de Kock had a good record with ex-ballydoyle horses – e.g. ARCHIPENKO and EAGLE MOUNTAIN.
Louise you make a good point about cast-offs from big yards achieving their best results in a smaller yard.
Some interesting points about equine “confidence”.
My experience of training jumping horses is that they do have a human-like “confidence” when it comes to making mistakes/ falling.
In the first place every horse has a personality like humans (horsenality?!). Some are brave and some are chicken. One horse might make no fuss when you ask it to jump over something. Another horse might just refuse to jump. Some say the latter are the “clever” ones!
A horse that has had a near-miss or has fallen may demonstrate reluctance coming into a fence. You can overcome this by using your leg/ stick. If a horse has too many near-misses/falls it might start stopping at fences.
Once a jumper learns to refuse at a fence there is no unlearning that. That is why it is so important to make things easier to build “confidence” after a horse gets a fright jumping.
Thanks for the support STEVECAUTION and TRYPTICH. I haven’t a clue how to DM someon here lol.
Fair points re CAMELOT.
I do hope he is a success as a stallion. I always had a soft spot for MONTJEU from MOTIVATOR onwards.
The thing that I want to see most is a wider pool of stallions siring G1 winners. It cannot be good for the gene pool considering how inbred some TBs are these days.
Well that was some win by KNIGHT TO BEHOLD.
Beat the French Derby top three. Excited to see if he can follow up in G1 company.
Lots more class STS runners next week.
**MODERATORS** please please please can this thread live in the main Forums > Horse Racing section?
Both FRANKEL and CAMELOT’s “why they will rule the world” progeny threads live in the main section.
I am just a big STS fan who wants to share the love for him. But I am not able to when my threads keep getting moved to somewhere where nobody sees them.
Please consider this – thanks

NIGHT MUSIC is an interesting German runner in the G1 Yorkshire Oaks.
She switched trainer and then had a year off. Coming in off three wins culminating in a G2 last month.
