You answered my question SEAING STARS!
So I notice SEA OF CLASS is owned by STS’ owners Sunderland Holdings. Fingers crossed she will follow in daddy’s footsteps.
She has good stamina on the distaff side. Her dam Holy Moon has produced five other winners with lesser stallions. This includes two indivual G1 winners in Italy. All in all SEA OF CLASS looks to have a blue-blooded pedigree.
May 19, 2018 at 23:59 #1354433Good to see this thread; Sea the Stars number one fan here! [absolutely adored him!!]….
May 20, 2018 at 06:24 #1354434Here is a report on SEA OF CLASS’ win in the Haras de Bouquetot Fillies Trial:
http://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/sea-the-starss-sea-of-class-wins-newburys-oaks-trial/
She is a lovely looking filly – chestnut like her grand-dam URBAN SEA. By the sounds of it she is quite FEISTY … classic chestnut mare some would say!
Pleased that William Haggas wants to take things slow with her. Personally I would rather she missed the Oaks and went to Royal Ascot. The hustle and bustle of a major G1 for a young impressionable filly could dent her confidence.
Here is hoping … maybe she is the next ENABLE …
August 14, 2018 at 12:17 #1362998He has sired multiple G1 winners. STS deserves a thread to track his progeny.
KNIGHT TO BEHOLD appears in the G2 G Dornano tomorrow at Deauville. Here is hoping he can get back to winning ways.
Lots of runners at York next week. CRYSTAL OCEAN in the G1 Juddmonte. SEA OF CLASS runs in the G1 Yorkshire Oaks. STREAM OF STARS / SEXTANT in the G2 Great Voltigeur.
August 14, 2018 at 12:24 #1362999NIGHT MUSIC is an interesting German runner in the G1 Yorkshire Oaks.
She switched trainer and then had a year off. Coming in off three wins culminating in a G2 last month.
August 14, 2018 at 18:54 #1363031**MODERATORS** please please please can this thread live in the main Forums > Horse Racing section?
Both FRANKEL and CAMELOT’s “why they will rule the world” progeny threads live in the main section.
I am just a big STS fan who wants to share the love for him. But I am not able to when my threads keep getting moved to somewhere where nobody sees them.
Please consider this – thanks
August 15, 2018 at 05:12 #1363054I agree, threads of this type should all be in the same section.
This is especially true given that Sea The Stars won the Arc, while Camelot failed in his attempt.
Come on Mods, keep it consistent

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
August 15, 2018 at 08:55 #1363058Archi…Why don’t you PM Venture to Cognac (Bobby) and put your case because I also would love to see this Thread in the Horse Racing Section, was a great fan of Sea The Stars one of the most genuine horses who always gave his all in every race he ran.
Looks like the Camelot Thread has also been moved here to fester, I always thought he was so unlucky to have been around during a dodgy period surrounding banned substances etc without naming names his Triple Crown was stolen from him and you only get the one chance.

Worth a try…Hope to see you on the other side..
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 15, 2018 at 10:59 #1363065Camelot would have completed the most gloriously fluked Triple Crown of all time had he won it. An awful Guineas on mud, followed by one of the weakest Derbies ever, it would have been a Triple Crown that had Nijinsky turning in his grave. It’s still hard to believe that Camelot went off favourite for the Arc after the Leger.
Overall, he went off favourite in every one of his 10 races, he was odds-on seven times and was very much in the right places at the right times.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
August 16, 2018 at 17:28 #1363151Well that was some win by KNIGHT TO BEHOLD.
Beat the French Derby top three. Excited to see if he can follow up in G1 company.
Lots more class STS runners next week.
August 16, 2018 at 17:40 #1363152Thanks for the support STEVECAUTION and TRYPTICH. I haven’t a clue how to DM someon here lol.
Fair points re CAMELOT.
I do hope he is a success as a stallion. I always had a soft spot for MONTJEU from MOTIVATOR onwards.
The thing that I want to see most is a wider pool of stallions siring G1 winners. It cannot be good for the gene pool considering how inbred some TBs are these days.
August 18, 2018 at 21:50 #1363470HM just had a winner by STS – SEXTANT.
August 18, 2018 at 22:04 #1363472STAR TERMS just won a 7f handicap @ Newmarket
August 24, 2018 at 23:48 #1364229Sea of Class and Stradivarius

Hopefully some of the STS 2yo’s I have seen winning recently (Layaleena, Waldstern, Boerhan, Fox Tal, Star Terms) will be as exciting to follow.
September 22, 2018 at 14:02 #1375585Another couple of 2yo winners for STS last week – Fashion’s Star at Newbury and Call Me Love over in Milan (won by 12 lengths!) – brings him up to 100 winners for the flat season according to his Facebook page.
A 2yo colt by Kingman, Raakib Alhawa (out of Starlet by STS) won first time out at Newbury yesterday as well.
September 24, 2018 at 17:05 #1375699Great thread; STS was my favourite; took on all-comers, in 3 countries, won the most competitive + prestigious races, and always had something in the tank; watch how he accelerated twice in the Eclipse.
