Nice to see a big field in a top G1 (18 runners).
Wonder if the likes of Coolmore will send mares (Galileo mares?) to KITASAN BLACK now. Or EQUINOX himself.
What a beast EQUINOX is.
Also 140,000 fans turned up 😳. They do love horseracing in Japan.
@mickeyjp Sometimes it’s just “sure”.
EQUINOX would carry 58kg.
LIBERTY ISLAND would carry 54kg.Are they both running?
The one that irritates me is “past *several* times”. It’s been creeping into written English for some time.
“Going forwards” is established office jargon meaning the same as “from now on”.
As it stands, August Rodin doesn’t really have a “commercial” look, as a stallion.
He’s mainly won Group 1s over 12f.
I can see why they’re keeping him in training.
Latest on this story.
WealthTek LLP, the company of prominent owner John Dance that was shut down in April following the discovery of “serious regulatory and operational issues”, was run with a “significant” shortfall in client assets for a “prolonged period of time”, according to administrators.
There are many examples of professional sports people who attempt a comeback after “retiring”. It must be hard to accept when the body is getting old and can’t perform at the level they’re used to anymore.
After a great season, I understand Frankie not wanting to retire after all. I expect he will be back on the UK horseracing scene next year.
Maybe this is a lesson to keep schtum on any plans to retire until the event happens 😂.
AMBERLEIGH HOUSE winning the Grand National was probably when I became fully invested in the sport of Horseracing. Somebody in my household recorded it (on VCR – wahay!). I watched it over and over and basically memorised the commentary.
I remember even writing about it in one of my assignments in English class at school 😂😂.
All fingers and toes crossed for G Lee.
Knight has been active at the sales in her role as racing manager to late owner Mike Grech, sourcing last season’s Irish National winner I Am Maximus and Grade 1 winner Brandy Love.
Kyoto was 500 yen (£2.70) on Shuka Sho day.
Happy Valley was free. How on earth did Flightline get a Timeform rating of 143?!
Backed by the Emir of Qatar apparently.
Some performance. But still keen to see him against Liberty Island 😊.
Not exactly clever names as they were ultimately rejected by the regulator …
But the following are crackers 😂.
Ben Dover, Biggus Diccus, Penny Tration, Ophelia Balls, Ho Lee Fook, E Rex Sean and Sofa King Fast…
