Most impressive 2 year olds for me so far have been Main Desire who I got burnt with when backing for the Queen Mary before her injury and September.
The latter I’m going to have a ridiculously early play for the classics next year. Couple of quid at 20s and 25s for the Guineas and Oaks.

not impressed with alpha centauri then?
June 18, 2017 at 09:26 #1304744Arbalet ran really well just was very green in the stalls, fell out gave them a few lengths tough to win from there
I also had koropick earlier same connections finished 2nd at 20-1

anyway I’m sure arbalet is a winner in waiting.
June 18, 2017 at 16:41 #1304814Racing Post figures have Great Prospector on 89 for his debut win. I pencilled him in on 92 myself. Anyway, it’s a highly encouraging start and any meaningful progress should see him hit three figures before long.
He is entered in the usual auction type races but hopefully he can reach listed or Group 3 this season.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
July 1, 2017 at 10:21 #1307104Not impressed by 2yos at Ascot steve not sure your overall views on them.Apart from the Albany where the french horse could be Commemwealth cup horse next year. While 2nd Alpha Centurai wants 7f next start
Any 2yos from France you like not mean Different league but have there been any decent 2yos races in france yet
One of my 3 unraced 2yo fillys from AOB yard won last night in HAPPILY people see this a form boost i don’t reason i say that is that this horse no where near her best on debut she improve as season go on. MAGICAL and CONQUEST my other 2 fillys
July 1, 2017 at 12:59 #1307148When you see the horses happily is related to you’d have to think she’s a group one winner in waiting.
July 1, 2017 at 16:46 #1307211I haven’t seen anything in France yet Darren, it’s early days. We should see some at Deauville this month though.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
July 1, 2017 at 16:51 #1307213I wrote a positive report on Beckford earlier in the thread and then went with the Coventry form in the Railway Stakes instead.
Up pops Beckford to win nicely today. Missed the boat there, should have stuck with the original thinking. De Bruyne Horse was ridden more aggressively today but went out like a light. Not so sure about Hannon’s juvenile team this year.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
July 1, 2017 at 16:53 #1307215Beckford was impressive there, I’ve nabbed 50/1 for the Guineas. Verbal Dexterity definitely wants further.
July 1, 2017 at 17:01 #1307216We’ve added Beckford at 25/1 for the Guineas. Not the most obvious pedigree to get a mile but probably sets the standard in Ireland right now.
July 1, 2017 at 19:37 #1307273The ground was key today and murillo was having three races in quick succession. Winner did it well. I’d fancy the second and third could reverse the form over further and on better going.
July 1, 2017 at 20:45 #1307281Ballydoyle were very worried about the ground for Murillo, that’s why they had Rostropovich entered as back up, and took him out this morning when it looked like the going would be good. But the unexpected rain before racing changed the going on the straight course to yielding, and you could see they were really cutting up the ground.
July 1, 2017 at 22:26 #1307291Was impressed with verbal dexterity there, he had to do a lot of the donkey work, wouldn’t be surprised if he popped up and won the dewhurst later in the year as his trainer has a good record in that race and he will surely relish the uphill finish
July 2, 2017 at 13:52 #1307365Amadeo Modigliani – a name to note after that taking debut…..
"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"

A real mouthful for poor Dessie Scahill, but I agree, he should scoot in next time out.

I’m on Gustav for the Derby already but I’m going to add this fella at 40/1. That was a decent maiden he ran in and there’s no telling as to which of them are Aidan’s Classic hopefuls yet. He has a nice pedigree as you’d expect, and I fancy getting both of these nice looking colts onside.
July 8, 2017 at 01:34 #1309257There might be some decent French 2YO runners on Sunday at the Prix Jean Prat meeting run at Chantilly.
There are two 7F maidens for mostly debutantes opening the card and they have some promising sorts.
In the 1.05 Race Andre Fabre has a New Approach colt in the field, while Pascal Bary saddles a son of Scat Daddy, while, in the 1.35 Fabre has a Dansili filly and there is an interesting Magnier et al owned War Front filly trained by Jean-Claude Rouget.
I had to laugh at the betting guide for the latter race, with names like Rouget, Magnier, Tabor and War Front, not giving the oddsman enough of clue to not price the filly up at 16/1
We will see, there mught be a decent one or two in the mix.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
