Imagine it half way through the speeches me shouting GET IN!!
The more I know the less I understand.
Issues with Haydock and it is not looking promissing as they are looking to move back onto the course they used yesterday (after a whole was found on the new track with Friendly Soul almost coming down) but a jockey has now found a hole on the previously used track.
Abandonment looks the most likely.
They’re running the remaining races on the inner straight course. All races on the round course have been abandoned.
The hole they found on the other course swallowed the whole length of a walking stick and I did hear one of the presenters say part of the course sat on the old Haydock Colliery (coal mine).
Friendly Soul was extremely lucky not to be seriously injured considering how deep the hole was and I can only think that she didn’t land directly over it as she stumbled.
I know they had a lot of rain earlier last week but could that along with the over watering also have played a part in this issue?
Unfortunately for me Friendly Soul was my main bet of the day. It was looking good till it stuck its leg in a sink hole. Surely bets should be refunded in this instance? Also what a let down for those at Haydock today. It’s a meeting i normally attend but thankfully today I had other commitments.
